Default Ok to change Paypal personal info after being inactive so long?

Ok long story short. My Ebay and Paypal account went down simultaneously. Im now getting ready to open a Ebay new account under a friends name. My friends has a Paypal account that has been inactive for 2 years.

Most of his information is now longer up to date. Address, phone number, bank account, credit card etc. He said it was ok to use his account.

Would Paypal red flag his account if I changed alot of his information on the same day thinking that his account might be possibly hijacked? Either way his information is not up to date. What do you guys think? Should I use his account or should I start fresh with someone that has never had a Paypal account before?

I did the same thing one time with old account. For me it worked. Dont know in your situation. Changing ebay info is not the big case, but I recomend after you change ebay info, create new paypal using this new info. As I remember if you want to change paypal info - name surname, you need to provide scans of documents.

Why wouldn't you just make a brand new paypal account? You're already opening a new ebay account, might as well start fresh with your paypal account as well.

I recommend easing into a bit more activity first before any big changes.

Well I want to verify the account and change it to a business account to help remove any possible limitations. How long should I wait then?

The account was only used once 2 years ago to purchase a guitar on Ebay. Figure why not use it since its already up an running and just sitting around?

Why do you have to go for friends when you can just go stealth?

I want to have a new account and build up a reputation under a new name instead of switching between accounts....
