| | | bansheezone | 09-19-2010 04:27 PM | as of sept 10th if you have an authorize.net account you can choose that as a processor with ebay, they just need your api login and key which you can change when you want as many times as you want which means any stealth account, also to set up authorize.net they need to simply charge a 1.00 amout to a valid credit card aka gift card to confirm that your account is a working gateway.
As of now there is still some error with ebay if you try to set up authorize.net but it should be ready to use soon. So you wont need auctiva anymore to process payments, and the buyers will bitch less. It was also easy to use Payflow with my merchant account. |
| art888 | 09-19-2010 04:27 PM | One question. What do you guys think will happen to the 2007 golden accounts? will you need to fax the merchant info now? |

If you have a merchant account, you should be able to keep on using it - but if you are using 3rd party checkout, you might have to input the account numbers directly to eBay's interface.
This is just a part of their Amazonification program. :pound: |

You just link authorize.net and you're good to go?
If so, that's pretty cool. FOR US. |

The pre 11/07 accounts should still not have to. |
| bansheezone | 09-20-2010 07:37 PM | You no longer have to fax anything, just provide api and key for authorize.net or set up a payflow account. |
| isitworththestress | 09-20-2010 08:00 PM | I did wonder how they were going to set up that new NPB system they were talking about, as if they left it the same they would never know who paid.
That is a point. I got an account kicked once, and I never changed any of my things on the sales page, so ebay did not know if any of the sales had been completed. So when they shut down the account they refunded all my fees, so it went from about 150.00 to 25.00 pound. Strange people running that company. |
| bansheezone | 10-04-2010 07:12 PM | Auctiva has now been disabled by ebay. |

Exactly right Jeff, everybody on this thread seems to be confused.
eBay is eliminating 3rd party CHECKOUT. Which is just the method buyers use to get to your PP, ProPay, Paymate, Moneybookers etc. account.
You can still use PP, ProPay, Paymate, Moneybookers etc. after June, you just can't use 3rd party CHECKOUT providers to get buyers to your payment processor.
The buyer MUST use eBay CHECKOUT as the link between eBay and your payment processor. So that means no Auctiva, Vendio, cartmanager etc.
Now on a related question. What about CCNow? or 2co? Should we just keep on trucking as is, or will eBay suspend users that require CCNow or 2CO??? | Ok, so they are removing the option on all listings that says "accept credit cards"? So this means I cannot invoice people anymore with google checkout?? |
| Ace717 | 12-31-2010 12:11 PM | eBay states they are removing 3rd party check out "To provide a consistent experience for buyers, third party checkout services will be discontinued on June 30, 2011."
We all know that this is a load of BS!
eBay already took away USPS Money Orders, 20% of my business.
I hate eBay/PayPal combination. So, that's that people better read your eBay Stealth and be careful. |
| newjerseymax | 03-25-2011 04:30 PM | I was pretty disappointed when I read about the 3rd party checkout when it was one of the main things I bought ebay stealth. Why go through the whole set-up process and then get kicked out in June. back to the hatepal drawing board...
