Anyone else notice the new eBay seller requirements.....
Tried to sell some stuff on ebay today on a relativly new account, but to my amazment, you now neew to be a seller for 90 days before being able to sell a decent amount of stuff, here are the requirements copied and pasted straight from ebay:
Alert!
As a new seller you’ve reached the selling limit for the number of items you can list in this category. This means you won't be able to complete this listing right now, but you may still be able to list other types of items in other categories. You'll be able to list more items in this category in 30 days.
Account privileges for new sellers are limited until they establish a good track record with us and their buyers. These limits help us make sure all new sellers meet their buyers' needs in categories where buyers have higher expectations.
Once you've been a seller for more than 90 days and you establish a good track record with your buyers, you may have your limits evaluated.

Summary
If your eBay account is less than 90 days old, there may be limits to the number of items you can sell. Most items on eBay don't have limits, but when listing certain items, as a new seller you'll only be able to list a few at a time.
We put these limits in place because we know that for some items, buyers have very high expectations. As a new seller, you need to establish a positive selling history and show that you're able to meet the needs of your customers before listing higher quantities.
Starting out small also gives you a chance to become familiar with eBay and to make sure you're following our selling practices policy.
You don't need to contact us about these limits. Once you've been a seller for over 90 days and have a proven track record of providing excellent customer service and following eBay's rules and policies, these limits will be removed from your account.
When can I list more items?
Once you've reached the selling limit for an item with limits, you'll get a message explaining that you'll need to wait 30 days to list that item. There are limits on the number of items you can list in the following categories:
*
Mobile & Home Phones > Mobile & Smart Phones
*
Computing >Apple Computers & Components > Apple Desktops
*
Computing >Apple Computers & Components > Apple Laptops
*
Computing > Desktop PCs & Monitors > Desktop PCs
*
Computing > Laptops & Netbooks
*
Computing > Software
*
Computing > PC Components > Drives & Storage > USB/ Pen/ Key/ Flash Drives
*
DVD, Film & TV
*
Consumer Electronics > DVD & Home Cinema
*
Consumer Electronics > GPS > GPS Systems
*
Consumer Electronics > MP3 Players
*
Consumer Electronics > Televisions
*
Events Tickets > Gift Vouchers & Coupons
*
Events Tickets
*
Video Games > Games
*
Video Games > Consoles
It's very important that you don't try to get around these limits, for example, by listing your items in another (potentially wrong) category. Listing items in the wrong category is a violation of our search and browse manipulation policy. If you break these rules, you may lose your buying and selling privileges.
Sellers with other established accounts
You may be able to remove the limit on your new account if you have another, more established selling account on eBay. Your other account needs to meet all of these conditions:
*
You've been a registered seller for at least 90 days.
*
You don't have any unresolved buyer complaints.
*
Your detailed seller ratings (DSRs) are at least 4.6 in all areas.
If you meet all of the above, contact us and provide:
*
The user IDs for both accounts
*
Details on how your accounts are linked (for example, employer, spouse, or partner)
Additional information
Please keep in mind that there may be other limits that may apply to your selling account. For more information about any other limits that may be on your account, visit My eBay for messages from us.
The fun just keeps on getting better!!!
