Paypal Verified, but the verified bank acc is disabled! Original Paypal msg attached
 

I set up a stealth paypal, put in bank acc and Vcc and received paypal deposit and it is all verified and fine. however when I made the first purchase on ebay, it says the card on file can not complete the transaction ( I think it refers to the Vcc on paypal) . When I checked paypal, there is no bank accounts on file! I tried to input the details of the same bank account I put in earlier (verified) it says it is disabled! Please see below msg. Anyone came across this??? thanks!

This bank account is disabled for entry into the PayPal website. Please add a different bank account instead.

If you would still like to use this bank account, you may fax us a copy of the bank statement with the two amounts PayPal deposited in your bank account shown and a copy of your driving licence or other photo ID. You must use this form for your fax cover sheet and send the fax to (402) 537-5780.

Is the disabled account a current account or savings account? Savings accounts do not have a direct debit facility and if the account in question is a savings account it will be disabled once the bank reject the direct debit. You will then never be able to use this account again with Paypal.

it is a saving account. How do we get around it then? cos all the current accounts I currently have are linked to the old ebay/paypal.

Do we need to do it hard way by going into different banks to open new current accounts ??

Yes I am afraid so. Each Paypal account will need a new current account. Try opening a few different current accounts with different banks.

I know it is painful. It is the same for everyone in the UK at the moment. :(

you will be able to sell now as you are verified, but you cannot withdraw money to bank.

Only use savers if you want to use account to sell and then buy using that money on ebay. For example to buy stock.

If you want to withdraw, add a current account

let me put you straight,i've said it before, so I'll say it again, now you are varified as i persume you entered the 2 amounts into paypal that they sent to your savings account, now all you need to do is get another savings account from your bank and add that to paypal, now all you do is withdraw funds to the new savings account, simples

are you sure? the new (second) savings account would have the same problem , no dd mandate, cant withdraw (some are ok, you have to check it out)

I just spoke with my bank. we definately can open more than one current accounts with one bank . save us from going to different banks. as for how many, the person couldn't find any regulation to specify, so he said we could open as many as we want

on another note, say if we dont add another account and leave it as it is , can we still send the money out to another paypal ie my friends paypal as gift payment and he return the money to me another way?

yes, you can do absolutely everything - except withdraw to bank

It is not such a good idea to do that. Even a gift payment can get a limitation.
If you can, I would recommend to go via the bank account method.

i had the same prob. with a walmart money card - which is a GE money bank checking acct. after a month papal took the banka cct. off and then it said: this acct. has been disabled for use with your paypal acct., please add another bank acct.

I just added another one will see.

Pretty sure oompaloompa, its how i get my cash out! why does he need a dd mandate? he's already varified the account, all you are doing is withdrawing to an unconfirmed savings account, all I no is it works for me and has done for some 3 years.

FlashMan which bank did you use when you added the Savers accounts to receive the 2 small deposits?
