Ebay's Changes

Has anyone else noticed ebay's new changes that are more like Amazon? Now, when searching for a product buyers' search results yield in a single product view which lets them choose which seller they want to buy from. I know that Ebay recently rolled this out. I have seen a steep decrease in sales this week from it alone. Has anyone else noticed this? Does anyone have any tips or suggestions in terms of getting my sales back up without dropping my prices too much?

Thanks guys!

Probably only if you use the stock images and product codes. I can't imagine them doing this for auctions. It's impossible. They can't identify every single listing and match them up. Different sellers use different descriptions.

eBay would like to go in the direction of Amazon with all fixed price listings in the future. It's been talked about publicly.

So this will bury small sellers even more?
The search system was already massively slanted away from the little guy. Now you need TRS to get displayed at all?

I will have to look at this tomorrow, cant get at my ebay today. But if they make it even harder for the little guy they are seriously going to kill themselves....

Ebay is about price on branded stuff. So if your not in a flooded category you'll be alright. I think if your in jewelry you maybe in trouble.

I'm not personally at worry, no. But when eBay hurts sellers, they leave. When sellers leave there is less for buyers and buyers leave. eBay needs many sellers selling many things. Even today its not the same as it was a few years ago for products. Lots of sellers are gone and so are the products they sold. Everyone gets hurt when they focus on just certain sellers. Even those sellers get hurt if there are less buyers

They can only double the fees so many times to try cover up that sellers are moving less product overall

They need a CEO that comes from a company that understands sales or has sold stuff. If they get rid of that jerk they can come back...
