i read the ebay info on this

from sept 2010 till today any new ebay sellers will have to be on a 3 month trial period
restrictions apply with 10 listings per month or $ 500

After 3 months of monitoring ebay will lift these restrictions.
Second option link your good selling account to your new one and restrictions lifted.

I am on the waiting list for 3 months lol

imjustme is correct, you can actually get it more than 13-14 when you're at 9... But, again on new new accounts if you do this within a week of opening it, prepare for verification and phone calls

Can someone clear something up for me with this? Is it 10 limit for ANYTHING?, for example if I listed 10 pencil sharpeners, I might not be able to list anymore after that?!!

Yep, even 10 sand grains for 1 cents each at 10 cents total would hit a monthly limit.

The annoying part is, easy feedback items are cheap. It sucks to blow your 10 spot on cheap items , i still haven't been able to convince myself to list 10 $13 items, i guess the solution is ... list 10 13$ items and then make a new ebay w/same info and list 10 more? I mean i guess if i could sell 20 @13$ for the 1st month and feedbacks it'd be worth it, i just hate having $40-50 items with hughe profits sitting.

The solution? Make new accounts NOW, list 10 items, next month 10 items again, and the next month 10 items again. You'll have accounts with 15-30 feedback (since not all buyers leave feedback) and ready to sell more in 3 months.

Selling limits have been in place for at least 1 year now. On an account with 120 feedback, I got a selling limit when I sold about 80 items a few months ago. I wasn't able to sell until I checked again last month and the account feedback is now at 180+, it lets me list more.

So, what happens is basically the more feedback you have, the more you can sell. If you have 0 feedback, you can sell 10. If you have 20 feedback, you can sell maybe 40. If you have 120 feedback, you can sell 80, etc.

So if you need to sell 100 items now, make 10 accounts, sell 10 items on each (10x10=100) and do the same thing next month. If you need to sell 200, make 20 new accounts. And in 3-4 months, you will have 10-20 accounts and you'll never have to worry about not being able to sell.

if you can open 20 accounts easly that means yor are super hero

I just found 2 accounts from 2008 where I only sold 1 item each, also back in 2008, and none of them have a selling limit. :D Was able to list 30 items (non-VERO, of course) each last night and they're still going strong. I'll sell those 30 items, then let the accounts get feedback before listing more. Got to take it slow ...

Why can't I ever be lucky enough to "find" accounts from 2008? LOL: :D

I have about 80 accounts back from 2007, 2008 and 2009 that I never sold on. Now I regret that I didn't at least list 1 item back then, but can't change that now.

Paypal reps are liars and ebay reps are liars.
One paypal rep did tell me AFTER I BEAT HIM DOWN (with words) for 45 minutes that you can list all that you want BEFORE you hit the 10 items. I went ahead to list about 40 items ACTIVE while I had the 10 item limit like he told me.
Basically, you can list 100 items if you have the time that day but know for sure once 10 items end and are completed you will wait out the time to list again (hope that makes sense) (this was my experience)
as feedback rolls in the limit will be lifted higher. I was blocked from listing for 2 days but as feedback rolled in I was able to list 2 days later and wasnt stopped again for that initial listing limit. so it turned out not to be a factor after all.
stay on your toes guys. these rules are changing every day. ebay and paypal are obviously trying to keep all of us off balance. you have to think ahead and prepare with multiple accounts.
Paypal is suspended accounts at a very high rate right now for negative and neutral feedbacks and low dsr 1s and 2s. focus on customer service is my advice to everyone. ebays buyers suck and we all know it. I list less and less on ebay these days because of the hassles. other venues are better. I did about $1600 the week before xmas and withdrew $1300 from paypal before I was limited for 180 days. no reason given from the clowns at paypal yet.I got a negative for 99 cent item. got a neutral for a 99 cent item that I was selling just for easy feedback. that backfired buyers still complained. ebay is in the gutter.
NOTE:Problem is most buyers dont leave feedback anymore! EBAY tells buyers feedback is optional which DOES NOT help us get paid. im getting 5 feedback out of 10 sales. Mostly threats of negative feedback looms over your head from bad ebay buyers.
Are you confusing the liars? Since when is paypal suspending for low ds 1s & 2s
pr neutrals/negatives?

You don't need a link ebay tells you that after you open an account and list your first item.

I just had my 1st account have the selling limit lifted. It was about 4-5 days past the 90 days mark. I used to be able to list only 10 per month and now was able to list up to 40 without problems.

Do you know if it's 90 days after selling 1 item or 90 days after registering as a seller?

It definitely starts counting after the first item is sold, not when the account is registered, not when the seller account is created and not when the first item is listed.

That's really not much different from how it used be for me anyway, since I used to make plenty of backups and they'd be about 90 days old by the time I used them, now it's just a matter of making lot's of sellers, selling 1 item on each and letting them age 90 days.

I have a feeling that my lifted selling limit won't last long. Got 2 negatives out of 30 sales in the last 24 hours, one saying "shipping took too long" even though it took 2 days less than written in the listing and the other one says "doesn't fit my wife" even though the measurements are clearly written in the listing.
