Has anyone had the new seller limits removed from their account without contacting ebay? Do the limits automatically get raised after 90 days if you have been actively selling?

Something weird, I currently have the 10 item/500 per month limit and I have 2 active items listed for $350.00 yesterday my limit was at $150.00 (for the remainder amount leftover) and today it says I can list 10 items or $500.00 even though I still have the $350.00 worth of items still up.

I've had it lifted on all my accounts after 90 days of active selling, and they're over 20 accounts right now all created since this new limit was imposed. I didn't check if they're all lifted exactly on the 90th day after the 1st sale, but at least 1-2 weeks after 90 days and they're all lifted, without having to contact eBay.

I started selling on an account that is 80 days old and the only thing so far is the phone call when I listed the first item. It already had 12 fb. Listed 50 items and sold 15 with no problems so far.

Was guessing I would get hit with the limit being under 90 days but so far so good.

Must be random close to or past 90 day thing?

I am also testing a buyers account I had sitting for 4 months to see once I turned it into a sellers account and started listing if they will hit me with the limit or not.

It must have sold at least 1 item since before the limit was imposed. Any accounts that sold at least 1 item before are not affected by this.

I just noticed on a stealth that my 10 items $500 limit was affected by my auctions in the computer accessories category but an auction I listed a few hours earlier in eBay motors parts and accessories has not affected the limit. I read on here recently that motors may not be affected by the new limits. It seems that way for me (so far). I'll update as time goes by and I post more in the motors section.

That list is inaccurate. Clothing is also affected.

You'd expect designer name clothing to be hit with a limit well anything that is copied that eBay could get sued for i guess

I haven't been hit with the 10 item thing on any of my accounts as yet, even if I did I couldn't give a toss, my inventory is so varied I will just sell stuff not on the above list.

I am testing this to see.

I am not selling in any of the list above or clothing so I might be good to go.

Mostly antiques, collectibles etc.

I might take an account and test by listing some things close to the limit and place items in these categories to see what happens.

Can anyone actually confirm these categories and clothing are the only categories that get the limitations?

When I tell others on this forum to go to local thrift stores, goodwills etc and buy items to get started this might be a very good thing because if they do not buy items in these categories they might never get the 10 limitation then.

Yep then when you have lots of good feedback for these items it will look good for selling high risk

Question

I got hit with only can sale 2 items a month, that is a new one,
It had been at 100 items a month and $5,000 limit,
I have only sold 2 items on the account for the month,
Now it says i can relist or list any new items,
Should i try contacting them or just go make some new account,
The account is from oct and nov range,
It is in good standing no issues at all,
This is a new low for ebay and just unreal,

Question

Little up date i didn't read close enough,
It says You've reached the 30-day selling limit for the type of item you're trying to list. This means you won't be able to complete this listing right now but may still be able to list other types of items.
These boots i have been trying to sale for 1 month like 5 times,
No sale just relist each time,
This happen to any of you sellers on here, Thanks
