Letter from paypal? Fedex

Hey guys,

Today something really weird happened. I received a phone call from fedex. They asked to speak with xxxx(stealth name), I said it was me. They said they have a package for me but need the correct address...they sent a package to the stealth address. I have the tracking number and the package came from Omaha Nebraska. The only company I've done business with there is paypal. I contacted the Nebraska Attorney General and Division of Banks concerning money that paypal owed me but they have my real address so this couldn't have came from either of those places.

I'm wondering what could paypal be sending. They released my funds. My account is empty. Has anybody gotten a letter from pp that they had to sign for? I don't know what this could be. No one else has my stealth info so it has to be from paypal.

WOW never heard that one! That is weird.

I really don't know what to do in that situation.

BUT I doubt they would send a letter via FedEx as opposed to certified USPS mail. It must be something else.

Maybe its a customer return? Maybe they live in Omaha? I don't know, just throwing out other options.

I thought it could be a customer return but how would a customer get my actual phone number...my real phone number. Paypal has my real phone number because I mistakenly called them from my personal cell phone so that I could get them to release my funds.

I wondered if paypal accidentally sent me a check...I had problems withdrawing funds but it eventually went through...so I don't think it's a check. I'm not sure what it could be that requires fedex and a signature.

I heard paypal does this as a form of "verification of physical address"....guessing if you dont pick it up or whatever, they will shut your account down. Heard they do this when they have been "tipped off" somehow of a possible misinformation or frequent paypal/ebay problems associated with you. Yeah, fedex is expensive, but I am sure Paypal has a pretty good deal with them that makes it cheaper than UPS or USPS. I personally would let them shut the account down and move on....wouldnt put my "Jimmy Handcock" on any damn thing that had to do with ebay/paypal stealth.

The account has been closed for almost a month. There's no need for a letter from them to verify anything. I'll just refuse it.

Why don't you ask the FedEx guy where and whom the package ship from?
