Trademark violation question...

I just received a trademark violation for a handbag. How long do you guys suggest me wait to re-list it? How should I prevent it from happening again? I also would like to note that I don't have much feedback and that was the reason why it was removed. Although the only things I have in stock right now are the handbags... What should I do to get more selling feedback? Just sell random things around the house?

There are many things you can do to build positive feedback. The safest is to sell some things that you don't want. Or buy a few knick-knacks at the dollar store and sell them.

But it does not make sense to me that you received a Trademark Violation notice for not having enough feedback.

Was it the VERO member that requested your auction be removed?

Is the item in question legitimate?

you have not really given enough info for a full answer, but I understand you may not want to say it all here

to avoid this happening again... is it legit? if not, that may be the reason it was taken down, so relisting it at any time in the future will pose equal risk.

some brands do not want ANYONE to sell any of their items on ebay , and any and all items will be taken down. Others , only authorised distributors will be tolerated by the vero owner.

the amount of feedback you have is not a factor in the item being removed, so more feedback will not save you.

However should you want to build your feedback , jeffweico's advice is good

Let me elaborate.

JEM is correct, some brand owners do NOT want anyone selling their items on eBay PERIOD. And because of the way the Digital Millennium Copyright Act is written, they DO have that power.

If your items are legitimate, you can email the VERO member and ask if they will approve you to sell their items. But they do not have to allow it.

If the items are NOT legitimate, then contacting the VERO member is pointless, and could even hurt you.

The only thing you might be able to do is to create a Stealth account and try to sell the item on it. If that is what you want to do, make sure that your item title is different, as well as the text of your listing. Also make sure that you use DIFFERENT PICTURES! eBay has bots that can compare photos and tell if they were used previously or not.

However, there are NO GUARANTEES that the VERO member won't simply remove the new auction as well.

Sorry I couldn't offer a more positive response.

I will add: If you are selling knock offs, but presenting them as real, dont. Thats just not cool to the buyer. Sorry, but its paramount to stealing.

Now if you are selling them for what they are, copies, great. I'm actually a fan of knock offs when they are presented as such. I love buying stuff that looks the same but doesn't cost a stupid price. In that case you are going to have to spread it out over many accounts. They will go down lots depending on how aggressive they are with that product. But if you have 6 accounts selling the items you can make some good headway. It will be a battle and the money will be locked up quit a bit. But that's part of the game you chose.

if you sell real stuff, not ⊗⊗⊗⊗
just give as many real photo picture as possible, detail, zoom, everything
to make sure that stuff is real and not ⊗⊗⊗⊗

sometimes it help
