Am i done for? ebay just called me

Hi guys

a little worried this evening, i had a power cut earlier today so it reset my router thus changing my IP address.

so when i logged in to sell an item it asked for me to confirm it was me as it says i was using my account from another pc (which i wasnt) luckily the number i had was real so they phoned and i entered the pin they gave me

will this raise alarm bells? and will paypal now go down the same route?

also a bunch of people have thought it would be funny to rate me as 1 star for dispatch and now my acc is below standard, what will happen if this carries on. Do they suspend without warning or give you a chance?

no they wont suspend you! you just re-logged with a new ip, thats not a problem if its a dynamic ip....Ive noticed you panic a bit on you posts, chillax

now the low dsrs, well check your seller dashboard, but that should not be allowed to continue, you say a bunch of people think it was funny to give you low dsrs, well that doesnt happen to me ever, so its obviously not just bad luck on your part, one is random a bunch aint - that will lead to problems

i had 2 buyers basically buy items and were being nasty through the whole transaction, and said that they wont leave negative feedback but will 1 star me.

this is before they even paid for it!! tried to cancel the transaction but they refused. Bullying basically trying to get free items

so now ive got 5 1stars and its affected my dsrs

ebay phone me to verify when im listing all the time but ive never "touch wood" had a problem with them.

any problems with buyers bullying you keep the mail they send and inform ebay asap, this is against rules and they will get in trouble for it.

a Static IP address will not change for a long period of time,
a dynamic ip address will change each time you log on
e.g you turn of your mac,turn it back on and you have a new ip address
dongles have dynamic and some other internet providers do too but some have static like virgin media broadband,
who provides your internet???

Don't panic, this is eBay at it's norm! I get this even when I log in from a Static IP from time to time...it's just the game, and you gotta play mouse!

hi,im not sure if talk talk is dynamic,it probably will be,do waht i said,turn off your mac/pc and turn off your modem/router,wait 5 mins,turn back on,if dynamic..you will have a new ip,
you can check your ip at http://www.whatismyip.com/

talk talk is dynamic, I use it, get a different IP everytime I switch router on/off!

always pass this type of mail onto ebay, send the buyer a link to feedback extortion let them know you have contacted ebay over the matter. although ebay is a bad buyers dream this is mainly because sellers dont inform ebay over this matter, i always do and ebay have helped me ever time.
when a buyer gets a bad strike over feedback bullying it stops them being able to buy certain items, two strikes and their account is closed, while ebay are a vile company on this they will help

but can ebay do anything for leaving a normal bland positive feedback, but ruin you by leaving 1 stars? thats what they have done with me and my acc is now below standard

Talk talk will offer you landline, inclusive calls and broadband, any 1 or a mixture of any these, like most. Few quid cheaper than most aswell. There alright, good for dynamic IP, have more of their own hardware installed into the BT exchanges (LLU) so chances are (usually) able to offer the fastest speeds.

The only thing that happens to buyers when they leave one stars or low dsr's is a page that pops up and says "hey if you are that unsatisfied, let us know and we will give you your money back, screw this idiot seller" .well not really of course, but pretty much the same thing with some glittered-up wording.

Granted if a buyer leaves SUPER low DSRs EVERY SINGLE TIME then they will get their feedback priviledges "revoked", however who really leaves low DSRs all the time or even frequently.

Got to up your game....offer free shipping, ship within one day describe your items accurately. if a problem arises apologize, offer a refund upon return and move on to the next....the only way to do it now-a-days!

i do all of the things above, but i cant ship over night as i dropship. states clearly in my terms also that i ship within 10 working days. Yet people ignore this

Terms and conditions do not matter and really are just a waste of time when it comes to ebay. Doesnt matter what you write on there, it means NOTHING! It is obvious ebay does NOT like drop shipping and people on ebay expect to get their purchases within whatever they consider to be a reasonable time to them..

Waiting 3 weeks to get an item is not something most people are happy about. With DSRs holding so much weight now, it is time to consider a different product or way of getting it alot quicker in order to succeed in today's ebay market. Just an ugly truth.

no buyers can leave low stars should they wish, however it wont ruin you, others will leave good ratings and it will go back up, remember you can always reply to feedback left should you wish however i dont see the point if the feedback is positive, by bland what do you mean?

i have another 1 star rating now , total 6 and im worried of it will go straight to suspension or will i get a selling warning/restriction for a while to try and get the score up?

If things are going that bad, time to move on to another account and improve.

ebay likes nothing but positive feedback and 5 star ratings....they are unrealistic obviously, but neutrals will count against you. If you are already in the "dumps" with them, just move on to another account and fix whatever you had broken.
