Ok, i just got SMAC 2.0 for MAC address spoofing. When i go to use it my "Active" MAC address never changes from the computer address even tho under new spoofed address it shows a different address.

Im using a wireless router also. Some help would be greatly appreciated!

Once you've chosen your "New Spoofed MAC Address" you need to click on "Update MAC" - top button just to the right of it.

Click Restart Adapter. Then type in a new MAC address in the New Spoofed MAC Address (type in any or just click Random). Then hit Update MAC again.

You can only do it for adapters that say Yes under the Active column.

If you use cable DSL - yes. Anything else - no.

Once you get all of your MAC's spoofed and it says so in the "Spoofed" column, Restart you machine and then check SMAC again.

I know of 1 MAC that will not change no matter what you do.
It is the RAS Async Adaptor.
Even though it will not spoof on my machine, it has not caused me any problems yet...

Alright, thanks guys. I see where i was getting confused, it says Yes under Spoofed but i thought the spoofed mac would show up under Active Mac on the same line.

What is the story with this? I have it on different machines. I cannot change it either. Both machines show it having identical Active MAC. I couldn't find it in devices in order to disable it. Should I ignore it?

The trick is disconnecting the coaxial cable coming into the cable box for at least 20 minutes sometimes longer "after" changing the MAC and then after disconnecting the coaxial cable turn computer off.

Come back 20 min later and reconnect. Sometimes you have to restart computer again before a connection can be made. Then you should have a new IP.

Funny that this isn't needed with TMAC just SMAC
