Paypal account enquiry
Hi guys,
I am hoping to get some advice for my situation. I read through the forums and found a lot of similar situations but not exact as mine so if I've missed a thread, please feel free to direct me.
Basically, I just reached the $1000 paypal limit. And due to anti money laundering whatever in Australia, they need to check id, like a 100 point bank id check. This is my real account, and I am selling as myself mind you. But to prove your address they are asking for a utility bill or something from the tax office at that address in your name.
Now I've got heaps of letters from bank, etc for that, but the problem is I live in a share house and my name is not on the lease, so the utlity bills are not in my name, and letters from the tax man is sent to my PO box address since I dont want to take the chance of my housemates to find out my tfn or any sensitive info a such.
Now I am divided between ringing paypal and explaining the situation to them or . 've read on this forum a lot of times advising people not to ring paypal or ebay about anything since that draws attention to your a/c, and I have been selling smal value foo foos there. So I dont wanna go that way.
If you guys can just be absolute angels like you are most of the times, and advise me what I should do, I would thank you forever. Have a good one!
