HI Paul. About the 21 day hold, an email reply I got from Paypal a few days ago said as a matter of factly that all new accounts are on a 21 day hold. I guess this was to make me feel better
That they will credit my $25 when the buyer leaves positive feedback or after 21 days. But on my account page, it never gives a date when they will stop holding my money. The email explains it in detail, their process but I was too impatient to read the jargon. They sure spent alot of time on the email to me writing it out. Strange they don't have a pdf or their facts stated in writing but you can't change the rules when you feel like it that way.
Yet they never addressed my words which said "I delinked my bank account so when/if they want to let me know when I can sell and get paid, it would be appreciated or just close the account." Again, neither of these did they address.
To go through the maze to get to even talk to customer support, answering questions retaining pin numbers then they call you back or finding an email address is too much of a pain for me. My Amazon account velocity limit is probably pretty high anyhow with 25% fb and no refunds so I would rather just focus on those two accounts. The first one is doing really well, I am having no problems and the second is still pretty new yet.
I replied back to Paypal telling them I refunded the customer and they are sending me the money directly (which is true).
We'll see if they will close my Paypal acct or not at my request
The bank account associated with it is being closed tomorrow.
EBAY/Paypal is such a pain compared to Amazon that I don't want to deal with it. I hope you get your funds reinstated soon, but aside from imputing tracking numbers, and requesting feedback upfront before shipping well...all I think you can do is place some additional buyer requirements in the Ebay listings. It really needs to be worded right though. Not shipping the product until full payment is rendered. if they use Paypal, then payment is due within 48 hrs or alternate payment methods must be available as immediate back up.
This is what I did on my established EBAY Account i've had for years and it worked fine, buyer just put the money into my account under a different heading (Gift I think). Sadly Paypal thinks after they hold an echeck on my established ebay account of a couple hundred fb (1/2 are buyer 1/2 as a Seller) at 100% that i am going to upgrade to their premium acct. They give me no reason to trust them already, they've got to be kidding that I will upgrade so I can block echecks. That's probably another lie anyhow.
Just my two cents but that may be all it's worth
*rant over* :D
