eBay calls, anyway to stop them ?

I have more than 10 stealth eBay accounts. They all works well for over 18 months already.
One thing I just cannot keep up with is the phone calls from eBay, it's really become annoying ... I could receive consecutive eBay phone calls within 1 day to tell me the same BS ,great changes , benefits for sellers for different accounts of course. Is there any way to stop this ? Imagine receiving 10 consective phone calls with the same BS and constantly calling for every change eBay made, and we know eBay is changing their platform every week, so .... Is there any way to just receive the email notice only ?

Thanks for any advice ..

I said the same thing yesterday and I got no answers from the forum. I answered once and a girl did the same to me, then suddenly many of my trac phones lit up all day... I didn't answer after that... we will see the affect soon I guess.

There is a selection to opt out of marketing on your seller's dashboard. That might reduce calls a lot.

Thanks I'll try that

That's odd I haven't received any calls from Ebay and I currently have 8 accounts running. The shortest account is only 7 months old. I do get the emails though with updates to Ebay.

What happens when they call to verify, and they can't reach you?

BAM! Instant limitation.

imjustme 11-16-2010 06:12 PM

I have over 100 accounts and never get a single call.

:D

First Edition 11-16-2010 06:18 PM

hmmm... you also never have to phone verify accounts either......

imjustme 11-16-2010 06:31 PM

Which is weird, but I'm not complaining, since all my phone numbers are phony (no pun intended). Maybe that's the secret.

getting calls is not normal regular thing. Ive only had calls handful of times in several years, at least I think I have, most of the mobiles they forward to have dead batteries or are in bottom of box in cellar with rat poop on them.

The same with me. I didn't answer the calls I got after the first one. The trac phones I got charged had the same 800 # on them from ebay. Do you get a email that you have been limited by having dead phones? I don't feel like going into all those acc's to find out.

typically if they cant reach you..... in my experiences... you will be limited....

I've always changed my number after setting the account up so wouldn't know if they call or not, I put an active # on my paypal once just see if they'd call, withdrew a few hundred a day for a couple months and not one call so finally just changed it...

Ya, I did receive couple of eBay calls to verify the listing I pushed live to verify I am the owner of that specific account. besides these 4 or 5 calls during the past 18 months, the rest are just all BS like the recent ones to promote eBay seller rating by uploading tracking numbers to get 5 star rating on shipping. I already have received tons of emails of these rating things, So they don't really need to call me for this.

I mean I don't mind eBay calling me to verify the listings I push live, but not the constant BS calls, Is there a way to let eBay know stop calling me on these BS but still allow eBay to call me for verification ?

Hi, Just got this email from eBay, instruction of opt out marketing calls from eBay, share with all who needs this.

You were recently contacted by eBay. At your request, I'd like to follow up with instructions to opt-out of telephone communication from eBay in the future. This email will provide you instructions to change your communication preferences on eBay. Please note, eBay will not make these preference changes on your behalf.

To change your communication preferences, please sign in to "My eBay" by clicking on the "My eBay" link found at the top of the eBay home page, click the "Account" tab, and choose "Notification Preferences" and then remove the check mark next to "Phone updates and promotions" in the "Promotions and Surveys" section.

Changing your Phone updates and promotions preference will remove you from any future phone communications not related to your account activity on eBay, including events or promotions offered to eBay members. You can review and update your preferences at any time.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Regards,

Ive worked out a system that I can divert my mobile voicemail to one phone or email media player, Ive had a few customers leave pointless messages that Ive got and listened to (and ignored, I dont speak to plebs). Why call me when you have my email - dummy.

That's what I started doing a year ago, just recycling voice #s. But there are still numbers that work from old acc's. Plus I have 600 minutes on most of those trac phones so I try to use them up now. I still renew them out of fear though.
