Registered Business, using a Stealth account

Paypal won't care if I change my Name to a business name, rather than a normal name? I didn't think you could do this, I thought both your ebay and paypal name had to be real (or made up but look real) names.

And also if my ebay and paypal are already set up, won't changing these create a issue?

Good day, I am still very new to this, but I just thought of something that is very important I believe, and thought that someone here may have though of before or encountered.

I have a registered business, that I ran through ebay, my ebay account is now banned, and I have opened up a stealth account. Something I just thought of is that I use the paypal receipts for tax time. Now my paypal is stealth. Therefore this information won't make any sense come tax time. Anyone know anyway around this or use any programs to make up there sales receipts that would be acceptable? Let me know if you guys have thought of this one. Thanks!

Ahhh ok, I think I get you. I am a registered business, and do have a Business number. One thing although, will ebay be able to link my registered business information (Which is under my real name) to my old banned account? Does ebay get this information or just the business number alone? If anyone knows that would be great thanks.

This account will be for non vero items, so hopefully it will stay up for a long time.

P.S: my old banned account never had the business number linked to it, if that helps with answers the Q at all. Thank you!

All you have to do is upgrade to a business account, in paypal, and type in whatever info you want. It's quite easy.

Excellent thats awesome. Thanks guys, I'll upgrade my Paypal and ebay accounts, I should probally wait a little while although, as they are still fairly new and wouldn't want to rush it. Going to get a UPS box as well and update this as my new "Business" address. Anyone see any issues with doing that or does that cause red flags? Thanks.

I really don't think making it a business account will cause a limitation.... might as well do it now.

Your saying when you upgrade to a business account you can change name and address if need be with PP? How about the attached ebay acc's?

whoa I never said that

You wouldn't change the registered name... but when you upgrade to a business, payments and deposits show from the business name you add

And you can change the ebay account from a personal to a business under the account tab, then click personal info, it's under account type

Oh it's an added name not a changed name. Got it, thanks. All my acc's were made business from the start so I hope I can still add a name when the time comes...

Yah, thats all I want to do is add a business name. And also they don't frown on updating my address do they? Say if I wanted to add a UPS box address to it?

I know they don't like PO boxes when you first form the acc's. I personally never tried it.
Don't use the USPS boxes just get a UPS box and change it to Unit # 564 or APT #564 instead of PO this PO that.

Nice, yah I read that somewhere else as well. Will definitely do that, but will this raise a flag with ebay and paypal if I update the information, or does this simply just not matter?

Nah thats fine and yes you can change your business name I do it all the time.

Great news! I love it. Learning lots, ok So one last thing I need answered. Obviously my business number is linked to my legit name and address etc. Does ebay has a way of accessing this information / do they? As of course this would link me to my old account (which i never used my business number with).

I am guessing no since you guys seem to upgrade your ebay accounts to business accounts all the time.

So you have to use your real name address etc in the U.S when you apply for your business number correct?
