Same or random IP?
 

It seems that many people just use a different IP each time they sign on. Do you think this is as good as using a unique ip for each account, but the same one each time?

I am looking at options after reading that huge thread last night about all of the different options. I can either.....

a) Teather from my HTC HD2 phone
b) Get an internet card
c) Keep using roadrunner wifi and keep changing VPN each time

It sounds like proxies raise red flags, no need for that if the other options are just as good.

Users should create a user account for each ebay/paypal account and make note of the IP.
That IP gets used each time that set is used. Different IPs is not recommended as its usage might cause a phone call (from paypal). However provided cookies etc are kept, and everything looks the same, IP difference should not be an isssue. For dial-up. it's a different IP in any case. :pop2:

Options A & B that you mentioned are very workable. Nice one.
Frankly I'm about to go postal on VPNs. (Not you;)) For ordinary accounts in the USA they are not needed.:rolleyes: They seem to be part of the 'I want an easy fix flavor' that runs around the forum. LOL. There are many many many options that will work.

I suggest you create an excel file with every bit of info. Have a record of everything. That includes logging an IP by using either IP Burger - What is my IP Address? Find Your IP Address! or What Is My IP Address? Lookup IP, Hide IP, Change IP, Trace IP and more...
