MC169 docs query
 

Must've read a dozen or so threads on MC169 and other violations but didn't find my answer.

When eBay asked you for state-issued docs, how detailed does your ID have to be? Can I black out all the serial numbers and the photo before I fax it in?

The MC169 notice literally says "clearly shows your name and address" only. Never mentions anything about license # or photo.

If anyone has any experience, I appreciate any info I can get.

if they want state id, they want it so they can run the numbers... thats what they do.. cause anyone can make up a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ id, but that number is like an ss number to a driver license.. no one else in the world has that DL or state id number but you..

they run it in a data base,, what you can do is send the real id and black out your dl number..

when they ask why would you do that, you tell them you have a government job with security clearances and are unable to give that number out to anyone PEr your job...


They dont always run a check, but they do, had a few friends who tryed and gave wrong info like the dl number and got suspended, told them sorry we were unable to confirm your identity after further checks......blah blah.....

I would also suggest doing a SEARCH in google for a DL Number Calculator. There is one for ALMOST every state.

I do this before sending in any info...understand? ;)

Honestly, not even going to bother sending anything in. I'd rather just make a new account and not have eBay look into anything, got a few other stealths that I want to remain unchecked.

Yeah, I mean...sometimes you gotta think "how important is this account?"

Especially when you can make a NEW ONE for only like 10 bucks!

It's impossible for you to be anymore wrong.

Unless eBay specifies that they will be running your numbers they have no business running them thus it is perfectly OK to mark out the numbers on your ID. Same with BA numbers, and transactions. If they have a problem with it, they will not refuse to lift the limit, they will simply ask you to make the adjustments they want.

ebay motors they want the dl number i do know that.. i dont deal with ebay alot, i assumed it was the same as ebay motors, which clearly states please dont black out your state issued id or dl number..... i never had a problem with them ever or ever had any account limited.... i mean paypal will sometimes ask for ss number, but thats an easy fix to pass that verification...... hey if IDK can help you might want to let him, alot better then having to make a new stealth account......
