Default Too many bank accounts?

I'm having problems with a bank I added to a PayPal. Its gotta go... This PP account has 2 banks attached to it right now. One Canadian and one US. But the US one is giving me tons of greif. If I add another US account will this be bad? For a total of 3 banks?

This is a very strong and important account so dumping it and making a new one is NOT the option I am looking for. But Adding another US account?? Look pretty bad??

I need to keep this PP account and I need to change my US bank. But not if it hurts me.

I could just close the US bank and have only the CAD one if thats a last resort.

Wow pod, you are in new territory...never had 3 banks on ONE account.

Maybe someone else can help you.

And since you are an EXEC, if you don't get the answer, keep bumping the post ever couple days.

I am going to look more into it and see what I can find on other forums...GOOD LUCK.

I'll come back if I find anything.

I think so. Thats why I asked. Hopefully I see others that have done it. But most folks wouldn't waste accounts like that. Either would I normally. But this bank account has got to go. And I really want a US account on there....

Well I have looked around, and I can't assure safety but it seems like this wouldn't raise any red flags. If you want...remove the us bank...wait like 3 days, add the other one. That way there is time in between.

I wont remove the bank. I'll just add one. But I'm sure it will look odd.

I think I need to think up a reason to add a new bank that isn't fishy and call PayPal.

Wow that is rough territory bud.

But not insurmountable - you add the bank account and I would def call and talk to Paypal rep - your account has ever been limited before and successfully passed?

Simple reason is the old US bank was compromised questionably and/or fees were too extreme so you had to change provider.

Account is strong. Limited and lifted. I will call for sure.

I thought about compromised too. But why a whole new bank and not number? And I also thought about saying high fees too. I think I will call next week and say I think I gave my account number away and I want to use a new bank. They cant find that too unreasonable

High fee reason is not unbelievable either. Or you can say that due to refinancing rates better at different bank, you took your business elsewhere.

Hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Sure it's not what you're hoping for... but you know darn well it can and will happen. Start planning now.

3? Listen to me, that is NOTHING. You are allowed a total of 8 bank accounts added to a PayPal account at any one time (of course only one of those primary). I've regularly had all 8 bank accounts attached to several different PayPal accounts, and NEVER a problem. As for removing and adding a new bank account, I think the most different bank accounts I've added and removed from any one PayPal accounts is 30 different banks. It has never been a problem or even caused any scrutiny.

So long as it's a clean bank account you add in place of the one you remove, i.e. not one that has been used on another of your stealth accounts then you'll be fine.

Not sure i get the math there. You cant use the same bank for more then one PP. So you mean you have had 8 banks on one paypal at one time?

Really? Wow. This isn't a few years ago when things were easier but within the last year?.... So stressing over adding a 3rd is silly I guess?

Yes - I've had maximum of all 8 bank accounts attached to one PayPal at the same time. I've had this set up across numerous accounts. Amongst those that I've had 8 attached, many of them have had many more bank accounts added and removed throughout the account history of a couple months.

Yes. Very.

It still makes me laugh when I see posts or get questions from people obsessing over the time of day they make a transfer, or if it's safer to leave funds in an account until they disburse automatically, or if they click the withdraw button too hard they are at a higher risk of getting shut down! I'll say it once, I withdraw as often as I like to the limit of once a day and I give no other thought about it. Works for me on all selling platforms in all countries.

For what it's worth, I've never had problems adding or removing banks from Paypal. Have not tried or needed to add more than two though.

Hey, if madsam has done uk, us, and more...I'll trust him with that. I know where everyone is coming from on this. 3 banks to us seems like a lot and when it comes to our BABY accounts that we watched grow, that can be a difficult decision to make!
