Confirming ebay identity By Phone (UK Users)
 

set up an account on Freeads.co.uk - Classified ads , place Free Ads place an ad with call forwarding, every ad you place you get a new number.

And it's FREE

It only spits out a mobile number - no good for eBay or PayPal.

I can confirm that this DOES work with EBAY but not with paypal as they require a landline number. With paypal you just confirm your location with a VCC, look in the 'Accounts for sale' section of this forum. I buy mine from 'Lakeman' for $11 (£7.25).

Couldn't even list a free add on freeadds.co.uk .

When i tried to list the add it kept saying i had made an error and deleting my place name and postcode, i checked and re-checked but there was no error!
It also wouldn't let me create an account, when i clicked the register button it said you donot need an account to register a free add , but how did it know i wanted to register an add in the first place why couldnt i just register ??

Hmm try it again on another web browser, I created my account over a year ago to sell cars & ive set up over 10 ebay accounts by creating new listings on freeads, the last one I made was today :/

I can confirm that the freeadds numbers work with both ebay and amazon verification in the UK.

I am a little confused

You set an ad and use your home phone or mobile? This verifies Ebay account only not Paypal?

Is this the only working method we have currently?

You set up an account on freeads & give them your 'real' mobile number, place an ad this will generate a forwarding mobile number, give ebay the forwarding number (will begin with 07036) & that will forward all call to that number to 'your' real mobile number.

Does the Freeads thing work with a new UK Paypal acount too?

Does not work with a paypal account as you need a landline number for that, with regards to the IP address its best you purchse the stealth book from aspkin & that will tell you everything you need to know.

I strongly sugest you read it before creating any new accounts. ;)

I never saw the call forwarding option when I made a free ad?

OK now I sorted it

You actually have to do a free ad first then confirm your account and then make another ad and then view he ad and the number will be on the ad

you want - Business VoIP Solo @ £2 per month

then: Select your area code i.e 0151

then: Choose your number

then: Pay as you use.

You will need to also add some credit to the account £5 should cover it. Once set up and paid by card you can go into the number from your account page and there is something called a routing wizard that you can select to route to your mobile. Test it when done and away you go.

Ok this freeads number does not work with paypal as they require a landline number.

If you setup your paypal account correctly you wont have to confirm by phone ;)

when you set an ebay account up DO NOT sign up to a paypal account via ebay. Instead go to paypal.co.uk & set an account up with them direct give them all your stealth details, add a bank account (if your banned on all your bank account create a new saving account on your online banking) then add a Vcc from one of the seller on here, confirm your email & away you go one paypal account with no limits.

HEy I appreciate this Paypal setup info

I dont know if it was in the ebook I had 3 years ago as things change as you know.
I have a new bank registered but not online and I already have a VCC set up with Entropay.
