What are we going to do for penny listings now?

When I saw the price listing (on a different page of their new policy), I originally misread it and thought it was free, but now on this other page of their new policy I see eBay banned buy it now and fixed price listings under $1. Pretty much ruining eBay.

hi-seems like they would be doing that to eliminate feedback abuse-no? I.e. Free Feedback to rack up the scores?

mantisinc 02-04-2008 12:27 PM

Woo, lets say goodbye to the penny feedbacks :p
It was obviously going to happen sooner or later...

What about trying setting up a store inventory item at $1.00 then using
Markdown manager to offer a 99% discount? or 75% discount

Or $1 store inventory item with BEST OFFER feature, and some creative wording informing customers to offer 0.01c

Or listing 0.01 auctions (that'll cost more)

Thats what I can think of at the moment. Anyone has any more ideas?

mantisinc 02-19-2008 08:09 AM

Never thought of that iclyde, good thinking.

Although, I would have thought they would have this covered...

iclyde 02-20-2008 08:46 AM

There will always be loopholes to exploit the system...I just can't think of more. Anyone has any ideas on how to get at least 100 fb fast?

Or how about 0.01 cent dutch auctions? Do they allow that?
