Can anyone tell me how long, assuming no issues, before PP wants SSN?
 

I am preparing to open my first stealth account.

Assuming, I have great to perfect feedback and no complaints, at what point will paypal ask for an ssn.

I would be happy if I could get to 10k or so in sales before they ask for an ssn.


I know at 20K they will for sure what it!

It's not reasonable, feasible or possible to predict what paypal will do.

Bottom line is create a paypal account, operate it as well as you can and be prepared for whatever paypal does to get in your way.

Every account differs. Dangerous word is 'assume'. each of us here has previously assumed with paypal and got stung and got stung badly.

The variables come from not just you (as the account holder) but also from the person using their paypal account to give you funds. Anything that can upset paypal's parameters can be enough to cause grief to you.

I might add that you can go outside of this 'box' about supplying an SSN. If you are talking about that volume of money, then you should also look at maybe NOT using paypal (always a big plus) or even using paypal but not as an individual. Those options are there.
