DBA Name Does anyone know the process of getting a DBA name in the UK? My name is officially dirt as far as Ebay are concerned!, want to reduce the risk of getting linked to other accounts with variations of my name. |
| slapped | 12-22-2010 11:22 PM | Why don't you just use ANY Name in the Phone Book,,,why do you want a variation of your Name?,,,Go Stealth,,, |
Because the name has to be similar for bank purposes doesn't it? |

if you already have one just change it.
personally i would not associate my real business name with bay or pp
i would only do that with my own websites. |

What are UK banks like at taking payments from different names to that of the bank ac****. So if my bank was in the name of John Smith, would they Jamie Smith work? |
| Stigger | 12-23-2010 08:01 AM | it dont matter
i have a business name in the real world, but i have different websites and places i trade, i take payments in many names, i was asked by the bank and i told them that i have several websites and place i sell on line under different names and they were fine about it, money made on any stealth accounts i transfer to my business account and create one invoice for it, all the invoice i give to hmrc are in my real business name and everything i purchase is from my business business bank
another thing is on most business bank accounts you can create sub accounts in your trading entity's |

I have a always used personal accounts, looked at business accounts but looked like mostly the same service, but on business they charge you for everything.
I will try some other names, instead of John, or Jon, or Jonathon Smith, I will try Jamie Smith, Jim Smith etc.
Ebay have suspended me on two different variations of my real name already, and I owe them a lot of money. |
| oompaloompa | 12-23-2010 08:22 AM | tizwoz is completely correct, personal and business bank accounts, in general will accept any name or trading name. I can verify this from personal experience. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 02:53 AM. | |
