tips needed to avoid MC010

Is there anything i can do to avoid mc010?
Is it random or did i do something to trigger the code?

I just created my first ebay stealth account followed the book to the t... Then it seems like minutes after posting a listing i received an email mc010 and instructed to call so i did....
I spoke to a rep who asked me some basic questions such as user name etc... Then she said she will ask me some public info questions i answered them to the best of my knowledge then at the end of the convo she said an email will be sent to me requesting id verification and a utility bill....... Is it even worth fixing it or am i better off creating a new account and what are the chances it happens again?

You are posting in a HIGH RISK area asap after making your account. Big no-no. Just wait, sell a few low grade items. Get feedback, let time pass.

To a degree it is random. Certainly many more accounts are subject to this dratted code.
Like holymoly said the approach is incorrect. Better to go s l o w e r at the start.

What you should also consider just how you created the 'new stealth you'. A random name, DOB & address is often not sufficient to get the MC010 lifted without supplying info via email. This is something that has changed in a small way from the book. Now a bit more finesse is needed.
Read thro' this sub-forum for several threads on MC010. There's more info there. All the MC010 is, is a glitch. It can be fixed :spy:

You don't get the MC010 for selling some high risk items, you get it if your account is inactive for too long and then jumps into selling. I've gotten MC010 a few minutes after listing a garden hose, no joke. It's not about high risk or VERO. If you account has been dormant for 1 year, don't just login and start selling.

I just got a mc010 for two accounts that I created. I beleive it was for deleting my flash and cooking all the time what jumping back and forth between accounts. This was before I bought the stealth book though.

I spoke with a few memebers thru pm and they too advised not to clear cooking or flash.

I will try it again and see how it works out.

are we saying we need real peoples info here? info they can pull up? I dont want to do that for so many reasons ,Ive been randomly selecting names to go with real addresses (eg student accom) or doing my own real poboxes/variations...so?

My Formula: "Worked 17 out of 19 times"

1. Look for "new homes" that no one has lived there before near your ip address.

2. Create an eBay and paypal account as an "18 year old" using the address from the new home.

3. Verify everything so that you can start selling.

4. Spend "1 hour" searching on the item you want to sell and bid on "1" item that is below $50 dollars not similar to the one you are going to sell.

5. Now scan your ID, drivers license, bank statement and phone bill. Now photoshop them to the name you created.

6. Now list a "non vero" item and start it above $20 dollars and wait 30min to 2 hours to get hit with the limitation.

7. Now call eBay and they will ask you to answer some questions answer non of the above. He will say he can't find you on the database "it's ok you will not be foud in any database since you are barely 18" you are barely starting your life. So it will be a 50/50 chace if he asks you for the documents, but if he does just fax them right away and account should be re-instated.

Magic number is not to be old is to be barely legal.

NOTE: You want to start selling as soon as you can to get hit with the limitation, That way you can get it out of the way. No need to sit on the account 30 days. It's the same thing, you will most likely get hit with the limitation anyways.
