HI-
Since I now have Many "Abusing" Accts sitting in a file, every now + then, while at a Internet cafe or New Place, I log in and check my email...

--Last Year, they Reinstated 2 accts, WITHOUT even sending me an email... (My Moms was like 6 weeks AFTER the suspension for linking)??
--Got Thinking....hmm.. Why did they do this??

A.) When you get the "Abusing" email-- now dont forget--this HAS TO BE FOR something STUPID.. not Veros, not LInking,, but Stupid stuff- listed too rapidly, listed 3 items instead of 2, etc..

>> Anhow- heres what Ive tried..has worked 2x already out of 8.... (so thats 25%)-- all it cost me was a fax....

B.) I copied the email link-- which is here:
eBay.com - SafeHarbor Request for Reinstatement

C.) This will simply take you to a page where you PRINT out a 2 page doc... fill it in, by hand, (so you dont have to be on line)--
D.) Include 2 things-- 1 Driv License, + 1- Util bill..sign it and fax in..

E.) NOTE; They are using 2 diff fax numbers.. the one on this form,, must be for the Lesser of the evil suspensions..
F.) within 2 days-- you get an answer.. or in my case--twice now---no email- just acct back up...

I am now trying this for a Suspended acct with a Vero take down...
BUT... in the section ---"Why were you suspended".. I have changed it up to always say... "Abusing"...no matter what the REAL reason is...
---About 5 minutes ago.. another acct back up...
So thats 3 out of 8 back... the other 5, no response yet.. but no denial either..
(I am starting to think this is an internal FLAW... just happened upon??)

In Florida, Illinois and Wisconsin the link below might be of some assistance. I used the Florida one for something other than Ebay and it worked for me

You just type the name in and a DL# pops up.

You can also go to the florida website and type in the DL# that you get from the software to make sure no one actually has that one yet.

I will say this from experience. There are many ⊗⊗⊗⊗ (novelty) ID places on the net. Do not use any of them that ask you to send a Western Union payment no matter how desperate you are to get a legitimate appearing ID. They will take your money and you will never hear from them again. :o (I tried it a few years ago) Doh!

yep i can confirm this stuff works. all my accounts that got suspended for buying too many ebooks, or getting linked to each other, or listing too many items got reinstated after faxing the form in.

and the driver licenses, i can help with photoshopping if u need. i did some photoshopping for ebayhateluv

BUT...once you get it.. the TRICK is..Knowing how to navigate + use it.. I for one do not have countless hours again and again to play with it...

I think it comes in the Macromedia package, although I'm not sure.
My dad got it cheaply through his work, so I wouldn't be able to tell you I'm afraid.

I may be stating the obvious here, but this wont work with linked accounts. i tried it a long time ago (2 years) and they said that the account i was trying to reinstate was linked to a banned account and then said had i not tried to make a new account, they would have reinstated the first one.

Here are a few letters you will receive... NOTE the LONG lengthy Laundry List...

LETTER# 1 of 3---
Dear xxxx,
Thank you for writing eBay in regard to your account suspension.
Your account was suspended under the "Abusing eBay" section of the eBay User Agreement.
This section states that eBay may suspend a user's account if we think that the user is creating problems (legal or otherwise) or acting inconsistently with the letter or spirit of our policies.
To have your account considered for reinstatement, please fax us both of the following:
- *Completed* Request for Reinstatement form
(To be processed, the form must include the User ID and email address of the suspended account that you're appealing, as well as a working phone number.) - Copy of your driver's license or other government issued ID with your name and address clearly visible

I do know the answer. ebay have a couple of different customer service divisionσns to deal with different business. Utah is where their Accounts & Fraud Unit is located.
Now here's a tale I got told. I am trying to verify this (hahah):
Incoming emails from users go to Indian call center. This call center monitors them, answers with standard/unhelpful reply. Emails that require more action are forwarded to the USA. Here they move around until finalized, going through different departments in different states. So, you can see why answers are delayed.

Steve.. *67..BUT.. I just spent over $100 bucks on Pres. day, riding around, its 4 pages, 2 from e/b and the driv lic, and util bill,I personally think that pp got me that way on 1 acct--faxing info from same machine,,maybe not?
--but to be safe, i used, ups store, pck/mail, staples, groc store, etc,banks/p.o. were closed, but alot of indep open..

What if you are unsure of the exact information that is on your suspended account, i.e. your address name and other things?

I recently requested a suspension review of an old account and they have requested POI and the ROR form to be faxed.

I am guessing since I was fairly new at ebay this is my home address and real name. I suppose I should take a shot as it has over 50 FB and is over 4 years old.

Before I fax...any tips?

Ok I want to do this, however i live in Australia. I had about 6 Ebay accounts, and i didn't know you couldn't have multiple ebay accounts until they were all suspended. Anyway should i delete 5 ebay accounts and keep one, and concentrate on just reinstating that one?

you can have multiple accounts !
but if they are linked and one gets suspended, they get all suspended...
and i think you cannot delete suspended accounts either...
so you'll probably be best of starting new.

yes. you can have 99999999 accounts under the same exact info, just need a different email.

casta, just get the first one reinstated. - then if it does get reinstated, send in the reinstatement forms for all the others that got suspended because of the first and all of them will come back - happened to me. i usually make 2-3 accounts per new identity, so spread out my items which seems to work really well. so they suspened one account, then all the others that were linked to it. i reinstated the first, then sent in the forms for the other 2 saying "whats going on, my first account is reintated why are these still suspended" - all got reinstated.

Let me get this straight, we send a fax to ebay (eventhough they tell you are suspended indefinite) they think you were told to send a fax to them (possible communication problem within the ebay system) they review your information and then reinstate your account?

It has been known to happen. ebay will sometimes consider the facts and make
the decision to reinstate you.

So what is the fax number for say if you were suspended for linking or shill bidding? I want to try this on my account that was suspended a few years ago.

Okay I got a chance to reinstate an account that was suspended almost a year ago. Considering it was a year ago, I do not have the item anymore nor do I have an invoice/receipt for it. Any suggestions or ways to work around this that can suffice eBay?
