Selling same items on Linked accounts ok?

I've got a question that may be rather simple to answer for someone here. My question is this, I want to create a separate account besides my stealth account to sell similar items. This accounts will use the same information as each other, and that is ok, as you are allowed to have more than one account as long as they don't get in trouble.

The reason is obvious why I would want to do this. My primary account is a ebay store account and I list many items at fixed price. What I would like to do with my second linked account is list many of my items as "auctions". If I don't make my second account into a store I save massively on fee's, as non-store accounts get free listings per month (why this is I don't understand).

Does anyone know if you can do this and avoid the higher eBay store fees, selling the same items on a second account?

Is this legit in eBays eyes?

Yes you are allowed to do that. But if one account goes down both will go down.

So do I have to change how the listings appear? or can they be exact copies, just that one account is selling at fixed price and the non store account is selling auction.

Its not against there rules to list the same item on different accounts. But if you want to make 2 stealth accounts and list the sames items then yes change the listing description.

Thanks for the answers, yah I'm not looking to list under two stealth accounts, I know then they would have to be different to avoid being linked. But in this case I don't mind being linked. Just want to list the same auctions without changing to take advantage of the fees. thanks for letting me know that is great that you can list the same items on two accounts that are linked.

yes, my accounts were suspended recently because i sold same items on linked accounts at the same time. I believe this triggered the suspension since everything else i did according to stealth guide. My item description were different. It didn't matter. I don't think its a good idea to list same item on linked accounts at the same item.

stealth guide tells you to list different items at different times. LESSON: DON'T TRY TO BY PASS OR CHALLENGE STEALTH TECHNIQUES. YOU WILL BE PUTTING YOUR ACCOUNT AT RISK. I AM GLAD I BOUGHT THAT BOOK.

Ah just read on ebay that they came out with a new rule in October where duplicate listings aren't allowed. So yeah I would recommend you use a stealth account to list duplicate items. I didn't know about this new rule have been focusing on amazon to much. Seems like ebay trying harder and harder to become like amazon.

Hmmm but these duplicate items refer to "Fix price" auctions only. One account would list fixed price, the other would be Auction Bid style only. Still think this is a issue? I list Auction and fixed price of the same items all the time on ebay. But it is the same account.

Your auctions should be significantly different in listings, format, pictures, etc.

Cash2Riches 01-12-2011 05:34 PM

Yes, but as I stated I don't care if these two accounts are linked. So why should they have to be significantly different if one is a buy now and the other is a bid style? Only thing I can think of is ebay will see it as a way of avoiding fees.

Personally, I would not risk it.
