Mail Forwarding

I recently moved offices (about a month ago) and had to put in a mail forwarding notice with the post office. I was wondering if I could use the old address for ebay and paypal and just put in a new change of address every few months to my office now. Would ebay be able to link this? I would use my new office address but it is already burned with an old paypal account :(

As for buyer returns, I always put a Fedex pre-paid return label in each box and tell the customer to send all returns back to us using the enclosed label.

I don't want to use a random address or a friend or relative.

Anyone have any tips on this one?:bump:

Are you buying or selling?

If your on a buyers account, you can set up multiple addresses on your account,
aside from the one your registered with, and along with the addresses that are registered on your paypal account. So no probs changing your address every so often for that one.

If your discussing about a sellers account, it might not be good to keep on changing your forward shipping address, Ebay might pick that up and inquire to you as to why you are changing your shipping address so often. I suggest you revise your address in whole ONE time and keep it that way. Just revising it every so occasionally if you happen to move again. Otherwise just go with your forwarding set up with your local post office. They will move your mail to the right box.

Hope this helps. :)

Hi Javelin,

Thanks for your feedback. Let me clarify, Im not changing my address with eBay, I would be submitting a forwarding address to the post office. Since my office was once there I don't think anyone would think anything about me submitting a forwarding address (for my name only of course) to the post office every 3-4 months.

Thoughts?

the post office wont do this service long-term unless you come up with a good excuse, it is just a moving house office temporary service normally right?

Yes you are correct. They expire after 180 days I think. At that point I was just going to put in another one....but Im thinking a P.O. box might just be a better idea

actually I think it is a good idea as a temporary measure.....

I'll give it a try on one of my accounts and see how it goes. Thanks

yes i'd like to know how this goes as well. i was just in the post office the other day and the lady was putting in a new address/forward request, and i'm pretty sure i heard the postal worker tell her that the mail forwarding service would be active for 1 year? if so that would help!

and hello to all on the forum this is my first post!!! been reading around here for a couple weeks (after a seller account selling was linked to an old account) and i'm excited to have some direction instead of flying blind :yar:
