Any Potential Problems With Spending Money?
 

How risky would it be to send my supplier a gift payment of over £400? I currently use my cousins or brothers account and not had a problem but there accounts are pretty established however mine is new and was wondering if I sent this money as gift would it cause a potential limitation?

certainly not.
I feel the same, so I just don't use PP to pay for anything nowadays. Better be a little inconvenienced than worried in the long run.

How important is the account? Thats the big question. Because it may or may not get limited. There is no way to tell with PP. But you always have to go under the assumption that it will and decide how bad that is overall.
I have a new account that I have sent $300 payments out 4 times and so far so good. But every single time I send I know it can go down and I cringe just waiting

Cheers for your input guys, problem is paypal is the only real method I can use to send payments as bank transfer costs more plus my supplier who is china supposedly gets a charge of about £20 too if I use that method.

What is the safest and most cost effective way of sending money abroad or more specifically to china from the UK?

Well, are you withdrawing the funds ok? I'm not really sure the question. Are you worried about the money in the account? Because sooner or later you have to move it. Or do you just need a way to pay supplier? Set up a PP account just for that. No money in at all. Just add one CC to it and use it to pay supplier.

Yep Pod just need to pay supplier for my goods so that is a very good option too.

Also do you mean specifically credit card? As I ain't got any credit cards or shall I just attach a bank account to it?

An out of the blue 'gift' payment might get looked at by paypal. tbh, paypal have got stricter of late with any payments.

It's all about luck really, you can get away with it or it might cause your account get locked. No one can know for sure, question is "is it worth the risk" if yes then go for it.

I don't think its either however won't be using that now after some advice off you guys as that's linked to a stealth account

It's not so much as to worth the risk but more essential as it's where I get my parts from so necessary it is, I will create one account solely for use without eBay but GreenBean mentioned using a credit card unfortunately I haven't got one and have got supposedly enough credit history to get one either so how would a virtual one work in regards to protection? If I was to get limited could I use chargeback to yank the money out of paypal?

You would set this account up just to pay suppliers and nothing else. So you do not want it linked to anything you have used before. If you have a bank that has never been used you can use that. Or you can set it up with a VCC from one of the cats on here. But sounds like its pretty high payments for a VCC. A bank would work. But again it has to be fresh and never used with PP before

That's the thing don't want to burn an bank account just for paypal, will try a VCC such as entropay ann usually order about £500 of a goods at a time as save on shipping

I think its the amount that might get looked at, I think £200 would be ok..
