Stealth Greendot
 

About a year ago, i bought a green dot and used all stealth info. upon completing the registration, my internet went offline so when it started working again about 5min later, the greendot was blocked and had to call the number they gave me.

called the number, it was some outsourced office in india and they wanted me to fax them my ssn, ID and utility bill to get it activated. didnt want to go to the trouble of doing all of that. so i just went to rite aid and returned the card for a new on.

So had anyone provided stealth docs to greendot via fax to activate the card?

i had a greendot when they first launched i used stleth info and a made up social and it worked lol it last for along time then one day i got a call saying they couldnt verfiy my info and had to close the card :(

So a random check? A check down the road after it was working is disappointing. You think something set off the check?

i have no idea i figerd it would be only a matter of time before they started checking the accounts and the ssn's cause at first they had no way to verfiy ssn's used to reg the cards

@pod, what appears to be happening is that some of these providers upgrade their account requirements by adding more 'you have to do this to have our card' stuff. So if they sweep existing accounts (which they would do on an audit basis in any case) users lose the rights to their cards. Sneaky & nasty :boink:

Kinda sucks. Setting these up is one hurdle. But knowing it can burn at any moment is not fun

Agreed 1000%. I'm considering seeing a plastic surgeon for a nose job. Telling some many fibs to paypal & co, I'm becoming pinocchio :pop2:
