Are accounts now linked?
 

I was trying to sell a pair of memory modules on my eBay account with 1 negative feedback and was unsuccessful so I asked my roommate to put it on his account where it was sold. Now, I understand that these two accounts are definitely linked now due to having the same item sold/same IP. We both plan on selling the same items in the near future.. should I consider my eBay/PP trash then? I don't mind letting go of it but would definitely keep it if I still could! Also, if I trash my account, would his be in the clear?

You can still use the account, but since they are both linked, if 1 goes down, so will the other.

If your account is not suspended or anything like that, just pay the fees and forget about the existence of that account.

If you trash the account then that will trash the other account, just using 2 accounts from the same ip doesn't mean you'll get suspended, I'd try to take care of both and then have a backup acct ready.

Ideally, this is what I'd like to do because my account is SSN verified as well as his so I wouldn't want to "waste" it. We both plan on selling the same variety of items.. as per the 'Stealth' book, I am planning to tether to start logging in to eBay/PayPal with a different IP address/cookie set.

We would follow the rules as listed in the guide such as letting the account cool and staying under the "VERO" radar.

If you plan to start tethering you can clear flash/cookies and start the acct on the new ip with new browsing history and that could be enough to save it.
