Registering a new account troubles in Australia
 

hi guys, i tried to register for an ebay account but it asks for verification by phone or credit card. Last week when i registered for an ebay account, i wasn't asked for phone verification or credit card verification. What should i do? any other gift cards other than entropay? please help.

If you register a ebay account with a mobile phone number and a free email account like yahoo, they will call you.

Just use a land line number and you wont get the call or need to add a cc. You only need to add a cc to ebay if want to go and sell with linking a pp account directly.

If one did not add a credit card to Paypal or Ebay only used a Bank Account would the call still happen? also some say i need the Vcc in order to sell why is this in the past i have only used Bank Account.

Using a bank account (on other pa yp al sites) tends to avoid the phone call.

I had a ebay / pp and bank on pp verified, but no credit card when i went to sell it said for security purposes u need a credit card. Im guessing its easier for pp or eb to try to deduct fees from your cc. To buy u dont need a pp account if you have on ebay a landline number.


I think PayPal ebay getting stricter on their fraud policies, years ago u could trade with just a ebay account :)
