Added old bank account in error!!!!
 

Hi, I just made a huge error. I had to add a bank account to my paypal account which is less than a month old. When I checked the bank account details, there were no transactions at all going back as far as 2008, so I assumed that this bank account was a clean usable one. BIG mistake, upon entering the details into Paypal, message ' this bank account is already assigned to another paypal account, etc, etc'. So, I guess that this stealth paypal account will be suspended, any ideas? Also, how long do you think it will take for the account to be limited? I have auctions coming off tomorrow night, and really don't want the hassle of the 180 day wait for the funds. Thank you guys, really don't know what I would do without this forum. PS; Let me just add that this Paypal account is fully verified.

well, can you remember if the bank was indeed used on a banned account? Big difference between you having added it before and then removed it but account still clean, or added it to banned account..anyway the latter scenario is a real flag and yes could be problematic..so then I would empty it slowly..and then abandon it...

Ok you have added a used bank info and got caught. Now my experience with this is that while you WILL NOT be suspended outright, since that old bank is attached to a suspended account (I am figuring), you are now in a bit of soup.

This is what will likely happen - you may get limited on your next withdrawal or not - if you don't, well done. But if a limitation ever occurs, know that that old bank info is stored in the system of pa yp al somewhere and could come against you.

I would tread lightly on this account and make new ones to back up.
