How can i use AU Paypal in another country
 

My Au pp was limited yesterday, because i loged in and paid a aussie guy about $20. The thing is that i used pp in beijing, and pp get suspicious about the transaction and they are investgating. Since every information is legit, i contacted support then i was told not to use AU pp in different countries, bercause AU pp is country specific. I am just wondering what actions i can do(maybe withdrew to my bank acc or just login and check all the transactions and so on) to prevent draging pp's attention on my pp when use it in another country. BTW, this acc also got nothing to do with ebay. So, please i need your suggestions to aviod further limitation when using AU pp in beijing or some other countries. Thanks in advance!

You have to use a vpn service that gives you an Aussie ip, when you log in to pp from beijing.

Ok, that is a good idea. But i am just a bit afraid that pp is able to see through the vpn. That might bring me even more trouble. But, if it is safe to use it, i am very glad that i found a solution for that! Thanks to jbluntz for the helpful post.

That's why you need to either host your own private VPN in your Aussie home (which isn't that bad of an idea), or find a VPN that is determined to be working with paypal/ebay and doesn't have too much publicity.

paypal advise that you can use the account in many countries.

Apart from the two suggestions (which might give more troubles), then contact them again. Ask for a supervisor/manager. Explain that you are overseas for several months and want to use paypal. Ask for their advice. Get the name etc etc. If paypal discover vpn & China or even a VPS, then you are going to be limited for ever. At the very least, make an attempt to play the game their way. :peace:

Thank you guys for these very useful posts! I might just use it whenever i need to use it then. if it gets limited again, just another round of match that i have to play with them rather than finding out my trick and kick me out 4ever. :amen:
