Default Using Sellers Acct to open a claim against another Seller, will it hurt?

Just wondered if a Seller who uses their selling account to buy an item then escalates it to a claim, will the claim show up in THEIR Customer Metrics?

I have a Seller who is demanding I pay return shipping but we've decided not to, just because she is lying and calling names. She may esclate it to a claim which means Paypal will force her to return it at her cost, but if I let her know it will affect her Sellers account she may decide not to go that route. It wouldn't make sense really except the satisfaction gained from being vindictive

My DSRs I will be fine and with over 125 Seller positives (2 neutrals last July) the neg won't count in the numbers. It should stay at 100% positive. But the alloted Claims percentage may count against the the account, who knows...it's a 5 yr account with no negs or claims, ever

Thanks for any advice

PayPal do not make buyers to return the item at their own cost now! It has been 2-3 month now since they change their policy.
So buyer = win win!

I hope you are wrong, or at least in this instance.
A Paypal Rep said she had to return it. I got her permission to use her first name and employee number to use in communications with my buyer .

I have had a couple things disputed in the past year and the customer is required to pay the postage to get it back to you. You will lose the original postage you got to ship to them however. It should not hurt you much as seller but your feedback will not stay 100% but drop to 99.9% or something if you have a lot of pos. Still no huge problem, so hang in there and hopefully it will all be good. If you want ot force the issue you can escalate the claim yourself and say you will refund money when buyer returns.

Most of the transactions will allow the seller to select Return for full refund so the buyer will have to send item back with proof of postage.

Thank you !

I am not sure if she will have the nerve to leave me bad feedback as a Seller, never had that happen before but so nice to know

Yes they only say in their agreement they "generally" make the buyer return it, not set in stone.
