does adding a debit card give paypal your checking account info?

I have a checking account and also a debit card that came with the checking account.
Is it ok to add the checking account to my seller account and then the debit card to a buying account? Or does adding a debit card give paypal your checking account info, which would then link the 2 paypal accounts?

I dont beleive a debit card would give them any onfo. I would guess it just gets authorized and used just like any other credit card, but wait for someone else to confirm my ideas??
