Default "eBay Listing Removed‏" email from Paypal, followed with my eB account being deleted?

I have gotten this very strange problem just now.

I was just selling on my 2 year old stealth account and suddenly, I received a email from Paypal, titled "eBay Listing Removed‏", with the following content:

Code:

I was suprised to see this error, so I decided to check my eBay account. However, I am no longer able to log in at all, as it says my username or password is incorrect. By using the "Member search" function under Community, I found out that my account seems to be "deleted", as all of my feedbacks are removed and revoked to zero, and states that I am no longer a registered user.

What on earth is this about? What just happened? I didn't receive any other emails from neither paypal or ebay. Did anyone else had this bizzard experience?

The email from PP is a standard. It's the buyer under investigation, not you.

Strange that you can't log in...personally I would call them. Only way to find out what's up!

Yeah, this is strange never heard or experienced anything like this. Maybe it was something highly risky you were up to?

I think this thread might be great for archived purposes, so fogive me for the bump.

I eventually found out that the account was "resetted and locked" due to ebay believing that the account was stolen, which is a first to me. I've never done anything wrong in terms of stealth procedures, and never had encountered the same problem before nor after. I do not remember the MC suspension code, but the Live Support guys told me about it after looking at the account. I was unable to regain access to this account, as I forgot certain personal information I used to sign up, such as birthday. I guess it's always a good idea to keep track of ALL the registration information for all accounts. The paypal reversal was also caused by the same reason, although I still had access to the account (which got limited shortly after)

Just leaving it out there for those that may potentially encounter the same problem.

^ Cheers for the info, never happened to me either, seems undestandable that they do this now to be honest.

So do you think the 'thief' was in fact you being stealth? :D

And yes, I keep all information for my accounts sorted into a spreadsheet, I have that open most of the time and have it at hand for when EB/PP call.

It might have be caused by inactivity. The account is two years old, and was created somewhere else in Canada. It's still a bizzard case though; I've never heard of anyone else having this issue before.

Oh well, I moved onto new accounts shortly after

I have seen this twice now.... And yes it is the buyer that is fishy. I had a item listed for US only and a US buyer bought the item, but amended the shipping address to a foreign address. Thus the confusion began, because there was no shipping price set up international. Buyer requested a total. I sent invoice with item sale price and Express shipping $60+. Buyer paid immediately. Within 10 minutes he contacted me asking for tracking number ASAP. Five minutes later I got the same message you posted. Called pay pal and told me its a suspicious transaction on buyers side. Reversed all payment. A week later I was contacted again and they asked me where they can pay for item again. I finally blocked buyer and sold to someone else.

Second time it happened I just let pp/eb do thier thing and relisted item
