How did they link these accounts
 

My mother opened a New ebay account for me last weekend. She got the email below .

She has an address NEVER associated with the 2 suspended accounts ( by the way the 2 accounts were suspended for low DSR's )
One month apart from one another . We got an email stating that we were no longer allowed to sell because we fell below seller performance - and the DSR's for shipping & handling cost were too low . These accounts were active for more than 10 years . One with 10,000+ feedback the other with 4,000+ feedback . Each opened with unique names etc. My mom attempted to open a new account for us , with a new bank account , new phone number etc. She received the email below . User ids' removed.

When we restricted your original account, we sent you an email letting
you know not to create a new account or use another member's account.
However, we know you may not be aware of all eBay policies, and we want
to work with you to avoid any misunderstandings.

In order to resolve your current account status, you must first resolve
any and all associated concerns on your originally restricted accounts:

as the original accounts are in good standing.

Ebay has no intention to ever unsuspend your two first accounts but of course you probably already know that :)

I'd say IP, or just behavior targetting. Did you clear cookies and flash cookies? Any eBay program etc etc?

We actually used a brand new computer she bought , and never used ebay on .. any thoughts .

Did you change the IP? Doesn't matter if its a new PC the IP might of still been the same unless you changed it.

No we did not change the ip , it is a new computer / new location ( myparents home ) we have never logged in with our old suspended accounts there .

I am wondering how they linked two accounts that were never associated with her? also my dad has a account at this location (different computer ) they did not link to him it is about 7 yr old casual seller account . And one other account wich i am fearful of them linking . Is there any way to protect his account as my back up in the mean time ?

You MUST change your ip and other info such as address and name.

Well since its a different location should have a different IP. Only thing I can think off is at some point someone might have logged in at the other location in the past. Did she have a computer at her home before.
