New PayPal Account - SSN
 

Hello everyone,
opened up a askpin.com account about a month ago or so. Recently bought the Stealth book and read through and got a bunch of info.
So here is my situation.

I was a top-rated gold powerseller selling high end cell phones on eBay. 20k moved through my Business PayPal account in Dec 2010 which was under my real name/real info. Everything was fine. PayPal got limited on Jan. 26th reason being - I had to many returns so they wanted to place a rolling reserve on the account. Then at the last second the lady on the phone asked me about invoices (I buy a few from a local supplier but mostly on CL) and I said yes no problem. To sum it up. They decided to close my account and everything associated with it.

Now I am planning on making a stealth account. But here is my issue. Lets say I were to use another i.p, new account. Mispelled last name. Its a unique last name (foreign) and I can easily switch around 2 letters and it will still look fine. But here is my main question. The SS.

The time will come when they will want the SSN. I understand that. My question is. If at first, I start out really slow on eBay (just selling a few items a week, not phones but phone accessories/parts) and not really withdraw any money out of PayPal etc. Play it really low cover. Verify everything but the SS so I have no withdraw limit. Just not really withdraw anything over 15% in the account. e.g 15$ out of 100$.

So im wondering if I do that and go really slow, once the time comes for the verification. (once they limit me) Can I provide my actual SSN? Or will it burn me completely?

There will be a different address on file, same first name, mispelled last name on eBay/PayPal. All different information. Different bank etc.

Will that just ruin it completely?

My only other option is making an account under my little brothers name (7yrs old) and using his SSN. Which of course would mean making the eBay/PayPal all in his name as well. Different address from the one thats on my old paypal account. & I would also have to mispell his last name because from what I've noticed, they check the last name for similar accounts and cross-ref everything and will close all of them if there is something fishy.

Whats the best plan of action? I have tried speaking to a friend using his info but not everyone wants to give their SSN out

I have a merchant account + moneybookers set up on me top rated eBay account but I took quite a big drop in sales once I stopped accepting PayPal.

Is there anyway I can accept PayPal without having to actually have a PayPal account? I dont mind getting charged a little more either. I have seen a few things regarding "Ccnow" which I am doing some research on right now.

If anyone has any information at all that would be more than excellent you could assist me.

If the social do not match the name then it will not be accepted.

I hate to break it to you, but you can no longer use your SSN with paypal, because they'll link you to your banned account.

You can purchase a DBA/LLC, that should help with your ssn issue.

Your best bet now is to create a few stealth accounts along with paypal accounts to spread your funds.

Regarding the DBA/LLC. I can go and get that no problem. But will this actually get me around the whole SS issue? I did some searching on the forums and it seems like they will want your SSN regardless.

Also what do you guys think about CCNOW? My eBay account is still good and everything is fine with it. Just PayPal screwed me.

I already have a merchant set up via authorize.net with e-onlinedata, but not having paypal is still tough on phone sales. I made the most money doing international sales and would like to do that again. 5% with CCNOW is nothing to me. Just the whole 2 payments every month and what not might be an issue at times.


One more question. What are the chances of them asking for SSN after the first limitation? Of course I will play it as safe as possible but I've noticed quite a few people have gotten limited on non SSN verified accounts and got away with it?

Sounds to me that you will need to open up multiple accounts and spread everything over the accounts that way. Its pretty easy to do once you get going. I thought it would be a struggle until i got going with it.
