I made a stealth account by mis-spelling my first and last name. I also used my real address but with a spelling variation on the street name. So what do you think? Will this work?

Here's some sad info. Its meaning is for you AND for any others thinking along the same lines.
6 months ago, doing this MIGHT have been OK. But for every policy change, every sunrise, ebay has changed its attack. Its ugly bots now devour info that previously went by. If info on an account raises enough flags for a 'bot', then said account may then come under a manual review.
that's right, a human. And such variations as you described might be fatal.
That human might see the variation & be nasty.
For a buyer's account maybe. For an ongoing seller's account too risky.
Slapped & myself are the 'old school'. We are so stealth we dont ever use any tainted by a previously suspended account.
Think seriously on this for the life of your ebay account

Thanks for the info guys. I was mainly concerned about transferring money from PP, but I guess there are plenty of banks that won't care about the name. I will go completely stealth from now on and hopefully build up some quality accounts! | |

Im gonna add a little here about How Strongly I feel about this, Because I am afraid of Falling into "Habits" When Creating accounts like always using a "Latin Name" or Account user names that might revolve around Cars or Food or Babies or Whatever, In order to avoid this, from Time to Time I actually Buy Accounts from Members here, just so they always look Fresh and As different as possible from Accounts that I create

Question for you slapped. When you buy an account off here do you then go into these accounts and change the address and phone number to them? For example if I bought one then put the address to my grandma's house that way if there was a return I would get it.

@giggidy, it's always a good idea to ask sellers how they can help you B4 you purchase an account. Doing this allows both seller and buyer AND me have a pleasant transaction.

Interesting.. So it is best to buy accounts in your IP range like in the same state? How bad is it to buy an account from someone if they created it in a different region of the US? Do I just need to change details very slowly? Quote:

Thanks for replying. So with you saying how stealth you guys are these days... So you are just running multiple accounts with completely fictional information (other than physical address and bank account perhaps) and the goal is to just not get flagged by eB so that ask for verification? :???:
