Advice Please - Live in Canada - Acct in US

Hello Everyone,

I hope someone can give me some advice please.

I have a brother that lives in the US that is willing to set up an new e bay account for me and connect it with his existing paypal account.

All I have to worry about now is making sure I get a VPS or VPN? Your advice on these.

I heard VPNs are currently blocked. What are my other alternatives?

Does my IP address have to match my brother's US address?

What are the pitfalls in having my brother set up an account for me in the US, while I live in Alberta, Canada.

Thank you so much in advance for those who are kind enough to answer this and help me.

VPNs are "frowned upon" - keeping that in mind, some work but many fail.

HOWEVER, since your brother is setting up a new eb ay account, I would suggest keeping everything fresh and going new pa yp al too.

Does his existing pa yp al already have an eb ay account?

I would recommend getting an IP that is close to the address of the account on file BUT, and a ton of other people know more about this, you could consider doing a remote access to your brother's computer and using his directly.

Few sites and programs exist where you log in and you can "see" your brother's computer so you can connect and sell from there - I tried one recently and it was nice.

All the best.

*Edit: Dial-up is another option but it's slow and annoying...I have used this and while effective, it does cause "labour pains" ha

Teamviewer is a free option for remote computer access and is simple and wonderful

@Axcend - have you tested this and found it safe?

Sidenote: Been awhile - how goes the snakes and all that? All the best.

Said that he can access his brother's pc from canada but isn't the ip will still showing that he is in canada, not in US. And how to handle it when he try to list.

If s/he accesses the brother's computer REMOTELY, the IP will be the one that the computer uses for direct access to internet - that's the benefit of remote access.
