My favorite places are Walmart and Best Buy. I don't know about e-gift cards, but you can certainly buy gift cards from both stores and have them shipped to your address.

Be careful walmart will share the shipping address with paypal and you will get linked by address... Use alternate address if possible.

Do they really? Thanks for the heads-up. I didn't know that, but never had a problem so far.

Default PP debit card

Yes before I was cut off from pp and ebay, I used the PP debit card all the time. It was very handy, worked great, you can withdraw cash at the ATM; from it or make purchases etc. Wish I could get it again but I understand that if you have been kicked off, you can't get another one unless you use SSN.

I currently have the debit card but maybe not for long. It's always worked great except that at most a T ms I've tried I get wacked about $4. for a withdrawal. I've used it to pay for postage for others I do bay work for but I'm thinking that's not a good idea anymore.

One problem I noticed was getting turned down at the gas pump and now I've found out why but not really why. If my balance is $50. and I go to the pump to put in $20. I get declined and have to go inside and have them do it. I later found the reason when looking at my account online. When I go to the pump they try put a hold of $75. If I don't have that much I get declined. If I have more it puts the hold, removes the hold and then charges me the $20. I don't know why they have to do that.

Early on I applied for the card but was declined because I didn't have enough PPud to bank transactions. About 3 years later after many good sales ( and not PPud to bank transactions ) I was offered one by email offering 'instant approval'. I don't recall giving any extra info but was approved in no time and the card was on the way. It expires this year and I doubt I'll be able to get another but if you do it is handy but I'd be cautious as to where you use it and what you use it for. I think they have way more info on me and my habits than I'm comfortable with whether they know it or not.

It is true. Try it Simply purchase something from walmart and use pp as your payment method and on the checkout page from PP you will see the shipping address and name on the walmart account. If this address is a FLAGGED address then you will be linked. Its pretty simple to see...

The link you posted is about payment. Yes paypal might allow the process of payment, however once your address is flagged, as was in the poster of the link. You will get limited. However if the address is not on a limited account then that would be different.

what about just purchasing Walmart's e-giftcard..i believe the limit is $200 per card...gets emailed to you after PP payment....then you can shop at walmart as a regular customer and when doing Checkout just enter e-giftcard code and ship to whatever address you want....has anyone tried this? i wouldnt make a habit of it because i am sure it will raise flags with PP but rotating over several EB/PP stealth accounts every couple weeks should be ok

Purchasing Walmart gift cards is a good way to get your PayPal account limited, especially if it isn't fully verified. If you want gift cards, try purchasing them off of eBay.
