Private proxies
 

So I work for a major web designing company and I have officially made a deal with the devil (IT manager) he says he can provide me with a private proxie that runs through our company server would this actually work or does it not really make a difference?

Ebay/Paypal dislikes proxies, they can detect them, you'd be better off using your very own ip addresses, instead of proxies, much safer, and you'll last longer.

Agreed, try stay away from proxies if possible.

It may work however it is much more likely for ebay to ask for documents such as Drivers licence passport etc.

Well thanks guys its good to know. Im just having huge issues with changing my ip ive actually used all the steps I can for the wireless set up but nothing seems to change my ip.....

Im not sure in the US about the different options for service providers.

Is you current ISP giving you a static IP i presume if it wont change?

Have you looked into changing ISP to one that gives you a dynamic IP so each time you restart the router you get a new one?

thats what i do here in the UK.

Well I called my isp but they insist I have a dynamic ip but when I unplug my modem (1-12 hours) it does not seem to change...

Though eb ay dislinkes private proxies and what not, since you have the option open - takes moments to create an account so I would make a try.

Yeah I definitely will at least try this method one time and see what happens if worst comes to worst ill just get dial up ^.^. Thank you guys for all the help
