Ebay Acct 8 years old clean
 

My friend is willing to let me sell on her account she created 8 years ago. She gave me the pws and everything. I havent access this account yet because there are some questions and precautions i would like to know. Hopefully you guys can help me with this...

1. The account dont have a paypal account on it and never did, would there be a problem if i put in a new paypal that was never used before. However, this new paypal account would have a different name other than the registered name on the ebay account. Would this be a problem?

2. All the information on the account is old... can i change the address and email address on it?

What would you guys recommend for me to do in order to sell on it safely? thanks for your help!

1. I don't think you'll have any problem as long as your Paypal account has never been used with another eBay account.

2. You can change details, but it might be a good idea to do that over a couple days. EBay usually doesn't like a lot of account changes too fast. They tend to limit accounts and ask you to fax in tons of details about the account.

Just make sure to change IP addresses, delete you cookies and when you're listing auctions, go slowly. Don't list too much at one time and you should be okay.

If you can, avoid paypal, and use a merchant account would be my recommendation.

on board all the advice you are getting. Forget vero: act like a newbie. How about b4 you list you let us know what you have set up etc: 8 year old account
is as good as aged bottle of whiskey. Treat it gently.

I agree. For an account like this, don't touch Paypal with a ten-foot pole!
