Default New and need help!

Ok i recently posted something on the ebay suspension section called "Listing via Auctiva to avoid suspension!!" I didn't really get professional replies so i forked out the $17.95US so i get professional answers. Do you think the method which i posted will work. Using Auctiva to hide yourself?

Heres what i posted:

1. Use a program called "Microsoft Virtual PC"
2. The download a OS via a torrent site, etc.
3. The torrent OS should be a ISO file, then open these the OS ISO file via Microsoft Virtual PC
4. I think you need to chose how much space you give to the Microsoft Virtual PC, i reckon 10GB should be enough, and dedicate about 512MB of memory (If you downloaded XP OS)
5. Now you have a new computer
6. Get a Dial up account and now use this to create a new ebay/paypal account via the Microsoft Virtual PC
7. You dont need to worry about cookies or ebay tracking as the Microsoft Virtual PC is totally seperate from your pc.
8. Now get a Auctiva account and generate a token, however make sure you sign up via Auctiva on the virtual pc, and in the same session as when you signed up with ebay and paypal
9. Once you have established your Auctiva account, now you can list your items using your pc, you dont need to log back into your Virtual pc anymore.
10. If you need to sign back into ebay to, make sure you sign in via the virtual pc.

Also the reason why i think using a virtual pc and a new O.S is because any old files like gif images from ebay may be stored on your computer hardrive, so instead of buying a new computer and spending lots of money, you can simply create a virtual computer with its own amount of storage.

Also using TEXT only emails removes the threat from obtaining hidden beckons from ebay emails, which are used to gather information and communicate with other beckons.

Yeah a lot of what you're talking about has been covered for the most part. Using virtual machines is a new one, an extreme way to go I think. What really matters is making sure your Ip address is changed, your cookies are gone and you don't mix anything up with any accounts you create. Write things down, like email addresses you us, and passwords.

And it's true using Auctivia with eBay will not only save you a lot of time but it will give you an extra layer of protection from eBay by limiting your exposure to them. Once your token is set, you really don't have to log back into eBay unless you're going to pay fees or whatever.

It's a good idea casta, but most likely over the head of most members here.

Not really, you just use the virtual PC when u need to log into ebay and mostly use Auctiva to list the item.

Also when your receive questions by other ebay users regarding your listing, whats the best way of approaching that?

No need for the virtual PC, just keep track of your IPs

it's really just 2 simple steps once you have your new ebay account. changing your ip, and clearing cookies between accounts. it takes like 2 minutes, and i don't hesitate going and working throughmy ebay page. liek aspkin said if you write down notes, and are consitant, then you won't have any problems. ccleaner is the only program i downloaded, and it works perfect for clearing cookies.

yeah i guess the virtual pc is another layer of protection to be certain it wont track you, however it probably is not needed if you change your ip and clear your cookies.

what i would like to know thou is wether most of the steps outlined is all that is pretty much needed ?

cheers

If the IP address is different AT ALL, then no problem.

I sent a email to Auctivia about the ip address when you list a item via their site. This is their response:

Hello,

We submit your listings through an application program that is designed to communicate with the eBay platform. For the listing point of view it does not matter if the IP addresses of our servers are used.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Thank you,
Auctiva Support.

So has this been of benefit to you? Will that help to let you list items?
