MikeyD | 04-10-2011 10:49 PM | MC018 Tips I sell a lot of stuff that fits multiple applications, such as car parts. If I sell a widget that fits 1992 - 2000 Honda Civics, I've been creating one listing for each year. For example, I might have one listing title "1993 Honda Civic Widget" and another that is "1994 Honda Civic Widget". It's a very effective selling strategy for me versus just one listing that is "1992 - 2000 Honda Civic widget". I change the text in the description of each listing to reflect the same, so the listing text is different for each listing. Yet these listings are still getting yanked for MC018.
Any ideas or suggestions on how exactly Ebay's automated system removes these and how much of a text match it looks for? i.e. if 99% of the text between two listings is the same, is it flagged? I've had 100s of listings removed and I can't imagine that it's a manual process. |
