IP traced with Skype?
 

hello guys, i have a question regarding changing IP addresses... After reading the book i was successful in changing my IP address (took my awhile since im new to this)... however over the weekend i noticed my sister using Skype on my computer. I have yet to create an ebay/paypal account and have everything in order to do so except the thought that my Skype account which using my real name, can be traced to old accounts/IPs and thus not allowing me to create the new ebay/paypal i plan on... what should i do? any advice?

Yes. I have read eb own skype so its good not to use skype.

so do i have to change my ip address again all over again? even though i havent created my ebay/paypal account yet??

you have a static ip? then yes remove skype and change ip

no i have a dynamic ip but i cant figure out how to change it agian... skype has been removed but now im stuck with a no good IP :mad2: any suggestions?

dynamic ip means it changes when you shut router, try it and post back, view ip on ipburger

shut down router and modem? which ones and in which order?

Kill 'em at the same time. Then fire up 1. modem, 2. router. Then take over control of eB ay and Pa yP al...

how long should i wait until i plug in 1. modem 2. router

and since i removed skype i should be in the clear, correct?

it could be straight after disconnection or up to overnight, depends, just keep trying, if you have dynamic then you are good to go...
