^^ Get your own mobile broadband dongle :D Just plug it into the computer you use for your accounts and you are away! New IP everytime!

Yep, Ive tried resetting my Modem. I'm gonna ask my dad to have a look at the modem configuration screen this afternoon. Failing that, I'm gonna have to use my dongle. But the only thing about that is, I must pay £15 per month for it. and I find that annoying. But I guess if it means I can successfully use paypal and ebay, I guess it's worth it.

By the way, my modem make is 'Trendnet' and the model is: TEW 435 BRM.

And if I were to use dial-up, wot would I have to do to get that? Maybe using the dongle is the best option....

^^ I am not reading the thread again

Could you not phone your ISP and find out if you have a static IP or dynamic IP. Not sure if this would require the contract payer (dad) to phone up though, try and see what they say.

Your best bet for that modem/router is to put it in bridge mode and skip the router part of the modem. That modem supports both fixed(static) and dynamic addresses and more than likely you have a dynamic ip address. You should be able to login to the modem/router and check to see if you have a static ip address set up in the modem/router. When you put that modem/router into bridge mode you will then want to hook up a linksys router that gives you the ability to alter the MAC address. The linksys will require some configuration if your ISP uses pppoe connection, you will probably just have to put in a username and password. From then on whenever you change your mac address on the linksys the dhcp server on the ISP's side should release the next availabe IP address. I think I made this sound more complicated than it is, but I work for a dsl ISP.
