PayPal Reinstatement
 

Morning all. I'm curious .......... has anybody ever had a PayPal Account reinstated after it was restricted and monies siezed for 180 days? I was thinking of phoning their call centre and pleading with them again and when that fails ............ asking to speak to a manager about my account.

It depends on what kind of limitation you have had?!

If you received the PAYPAL APPEAL DENIED - WE ARE KEEPING YOUR CASH FOR 180 DAYS email, then no, it's highly unlikely you will mount a successful appeal.

HOWEVER, if you simply had a limitation (whereby you had a list of 'actions' in order to remove the limitation e.g. Confirm Bank, Confirm Credit Card etc) then following those actions MAY result in a limitation lift.

I say 'may' because if they want 'proof of postage' or proof of ownership of goods' etc...and it's been 6 months since you posted your item...you'll have a hard job to 'prove' that the item was delivered.

All in all...it just depends on a lot of factors. Need to know more really.

strangely enough their reasons for limitation were pants. Bearing in mind this is before I read stealth guide, I had multiple ebay accounts going into one paypal account. Firstly they limited me asking for confirmation, photo i.d. recent bank statements etc. then when I supplied this they simply locked down the account with no chance of appeal. What was really strange though was the original reason for asking for my documents was "we notice that you have not used your account for some time and we want to update our records". I was in and out of the account every week!

Anyway, thought I'd ask - money locked now for 180 days and no chance of appeal.:eek:

My account got limited about 8 months ago,probably the large transactions that triggered it,they asked for proof of addr & ID. I sent them ⊗⊗⊗⊗ document appeal denied,permanently limited.
After 180 days i just added a new bank account and withdraw my money.I still have $25 left on my account,so paypal can't closed it.

And last week ..

PAYPAL HAVE RESTORED MY ACCOUNT.... :shocked: :clap:

:clap: not bad, wish they'd restore mine - total disruption, have only just managed to get going again thanks to Stealth - nice to hear good news stories

Same happened to me.

Account remained restored?
