hi, i have the same question, my pp accounts are also approaching 20k, shuold i wait for pp to prompt me for ss or ein ? if so, what email from pp am i waiting for? or shuold i proactively just go ahead upgrade my pp to business account then put in the ein ?

They obviously do not have the system streamlined yet. I can't beleive they let you get that far without some sort of limitation regarding providing you SS/EIN. For that matter Amazon too. There must be thousands on Amazon over the 20k/200, and no notice to provide SS/EIN info. What gives?

I'm sure both PayPal and Amazon are working to implement this. Prorgramming needs to be done, then tested to make sure it works correctly and does not affect anything else on their systems.

This is not always so simple. Amazon runs on a customized platform that has seen many, many changes and probably thousands of custom programs written over the years. So any changes, even though they may seem small, take a while to implement correctly.

and even when they do implement those changes, I guarantee the system is gonna go haywire, crash a few times, and really interrupt service, not to mention negatively disrupting the activities of the selling community.
