I have just bought something on my buyer account and, as I had Google Earth open (to take a look at Bin Ladens compound) I typed in the post code of the person I have just bought from. No problems with that but I cannot help wondering, in view of EBs new privacy policy, if this is one more thing we need to factor into our activities - are EB going to be looking at where we are?

Why does it matter though, they aren't going to try and see us coming out the house on google earth :D

They could just use a basic address database to search addresses, why is google earth needed?

pft, if PayPal couldn't find your address then they would just ask for proof of address wouldn't they, we know what to do then... :D

I would consider any public service that`s free to used by eb ay or pa yp al but google earth is a bit more intensive to look at ha

^ My real house wasn't on google earth for about 2 year because they hadn't updated it, it was just a field, so that would be a factor. How up to date it is.

If Eb ay or Pa ypal ever use Google Earth on me.
They will see a bunch of huge shiny-tin letters on the roof of my house spelled out;

haha way over thinking things with regards stealth ebaying in this thread I think :lol:

every notice when u put a address in on google earth it wont show u the excat address it will put u like 3-5 houses down ect. I never had it put me at the right address on there.

You are so right - over here we put in the post code and that can be 20 houses

I was thinking its some privacy issue that google dose.
