Still want to buy on eBay
 

Hey,

My PayPal account was limited and I made eBay purchases on it awhile back.

Any advice how I can purchase items on eBay with a new PayPal account, would I need to create a new eBay account as well? :(

hi welcome to the forums!

basially you have two options:

1) Make new paypal and ebay accounts unlinked to your previous account under new IP using stealth information. then when you make purchases make sure you ask if they can ship to a different address as its a present for a friend or something along those lines.

2) Make new ebay and paypal but using your real information (if its just for buying) - buyers accounts dont seem to draw as much scruitiny. but this time instead of using your full real name on ebay put D Jones, instead of david jones as before for instance...and use your real address.

I find with buyer accounts ebay and paypal dont tend to look so closely at them as long as you pay for items promptly and dont get unpaid disputes etc.

Also if you were to use any real details dont make a huge amount of purchases straight away.

Thanks, I already have a stealth account on PayPal, so would it be best to create a new eBay account? I did make an eBay purchase using someone's PayPal account in February and nothing happened to them. My PayPal was banned in January.

do you? ....have you made sure you know all the steps to keep those accounts stealth such as clearing cookies etc?

Also I would keep your buying account seperate on a different windows user account to all your selling account to keep cookies seperate.

When using stealth details on a buying account you may find people are not willing to ship to an address thats not on the paypal account as this means their not covered by selling protection if you were to open a case - so make sure you message them before making purchases to make sure they are willing to do this which many will be willing to do. :peace:

Yes you would - would have to be stealth although you could get away with making a buyer account only. BUT, I have seen too many stories of people opening up buyer accounts in own name only to decide later "I wanna sell" and BLOCK.

Yeah as rsot states you may be tempted to start selling on the account as it ages and you build up feedback - basically just keep it seperate for buying.

Thanks again, I created a stealth account in March for PayPal. I do not sell at all on eBay, it's for purchasing only.

My stealth PayPal is used for selling stuff from websites etc.
